Ive got the same problem with a ton of popping tiles on a job they did in 2015. after seeing reviews like your I have chose to not call him back to fix. very disappointing. he came recommended by the folks at state tile where we bought all the tile...i guess his parents own another state tile.

At first, the work Doug's employee did looked good, but after everything was done, about 24 tiles were popping when we walked on them. After several days of Doug not responding to me or my GC he finally told me his guy would be back. When his employee showed up, he had excuses as to why it was popping and said he brought better mortar. After I left for work, his employee clearly left soon after only replacing 5 tiles, not 24. One of the replaced ones is popping still. Doug will not reply to calls or texts. He took my cash and ran. Do not hire this crook.
