Shapes Handyman and Remodeling

Great work. Ryan was very on top of things. He was on site at least once a day if not more. Great communication on the progress of the job. They expanded a bedroom by knocking down a wall and put up a new wall a couple of feet over. I highly recommend them. Everyone was a pleasure to work with from Scott who gave the estimate, Wendy in the office, Ryan the project manager and all of the different workers.

This company is by far the best contracting company I've worked with. My wife and I have done many projects over the years and in multiple states. Its too bad Shapes wasnt in those other states for us to work with. Granted no project goes 100% according to plan and there were some hiccups, but Scott and his team figured it out and pressed on. As soon as I figure out how to upload some pics, I'll put them on here LOL!

I have used Shapes Handyman and construction on three different projects. The first project was a garage renovation. Framing, metal roof and windows. Every detail was provided prior to construction which Scott provided and drew himself. We were able to see 3D models of the design and what the finished project would look like. The project turned out wonderfully! The other project, which was my favorite, was our deck. Scott provided us with a trex decking system that was absolutely stunning! I would highly recommend Shapes for all of your home needs!

I had high hopes with this company, thought the very nice website equaled professional /solid company. Turns out it's more than a little deceptive. The number they list and make it look like their Contractors license number is not a license but an insurance number. The company is not a licensed contractor in the state of North Carolina. I only learned this after attempting to file a complaint with the licensing board. No project goes 100% smoothly which I understand but when you ask for the project manager to come on-site to discuss issues and he doesn't but then threatens to pull his contractors off the job site when there is a huge hole in the bathroom floor, the toilet, bathtub and sink sitting in the yard there is clearly an issue with the management. They are either overloaded and too busy to care about the customer or just don't really care at all if the customer is getting what they paid for. I knew what the threat meant, take what I get or we're going to leave you stuck with an incomplete job. I just prayed they would show up each day and get a little closer to done or to a point where I could offer my customers a bathroom to use during their stay. To be clear, the project manager only showed up on the first day for 20 or so minutes. NEVER CAME ON SITE AGAIN AND NEVER FOLLOWED UP. To end my review on a positive note, Carl is awesome.
