Matt Duggan is a narcissistic liar. He is not a licensed contractor, has a bogus address and that is just a start. He not only started a job at my home that was way out of his league, he stole from us, lied to our faces, drank on the job, smoked pot in my driveway, used my trash can to empty his truck of debris. Thankfully, he walked away from the job and we thought "thank God this ass left" but oh no, he then decided to start texting both of us at 7am with threats to our home, family and livelihood. He then proceeded to call both of our jobs and make false accusations and telling them our employee to fire us. Matt and his friend came to our home to gather their tools that they left behind, which why would we want their crap, and thankfully the police were here to watch as they continued to make threats to us while we watched them from the window. Yes, we did video tape this as well. Matthew Stephen-James Duggan is a known felon, with multiple arrests, false address and phone numbers. Matthew Duggan and his "crew" stole household items from our home as well as the returnable pop cans. He is nothing more than a little man that has obvious alot of drama in his life. He left a mess in our home, did not cover our belongings, spilled paint on the floor, did not tape anything off therefore caused unfinished work, drywall dust everywhere, not once cleaned up after themselves, left their trash and food throughout the house, no knowledge on how to lay tile work or vinyl flooring, left empty liquor bottles in our driveway, along with their butts from smoking. Matthew Duggan is nothing more than white trash that bullies people when things do not go his way. His business needs to be shut down and he needs to be in jail for all of his nonsense. Just beware if you even think about using him and make sure you really read all these reviews as he is a great con artist and when things do not go his way, he will then start harassing you, threatening you and then ask you to go to lunch all in one breath. Buyer beware!!!!

** I originally deleted this review because Matt BEGGED us to let him correct their “mistakes” and in return remove the review. Unfortunately we fell for his lies yet again and let him come out to fix everything. He didn’t bring items he knew he needed (nor did he apparently own) and had to use our stuff (caulk gun, 6ft ladder, work lights). He still didn’t paint the window trims like he was supposed to and paid for, the cabinets look absolutely terrible, and there are several areas where he painted that I’ve had to fix and/or repaint and caulk. I’ve also recently learned of a couple others he’s completely screwed over as well. Stay away! ** I highly recommend thinking twice before you hire Matt Duggan and Laser Line Painting Company. Every step of the way it’s been some kind of excuse of why he couldn’t stay for more than a couple hours, or couldn’t come at all, leaving the majority of the work up to his carpenter, who stated that he was not very experienced, or confident in painting cabinets. Also many times he had stated my cabinets/ceilings/walls are the pig and he’s just applying the lipstick (such a rude saying to say to a PAYING CUSTOMER) and that the new cabinet doors I have are shitty wood (basswood, which is a common cabinet and mill work wood, and about as common as poplar). He claims to “specialize in cabinet painting” but I beg to differ. Almost every cabinet is still very rough and isn’t completely painted. I now have to either redo them myself or hire another company to correct his horrible work. Matt also did a bunch of painting in my house which has several areas that needed to be redone or a second coat added because they failed to do so in the first place. They also left all of their garbage laying around in my laundry room and garage, it would have been one thing if it was bags of trash, but it was not. It was loose trash left every where. The dry wall trimmings were left in the grass outside the garage door as well. If your considering Matt and Laser Line Painting Company please feel free to message me. I have countless amounts of pictures and reason on why you shouldn’t. Matt Duggan, please do not bother contacting us unless it’s to provide a refund for the cabinets I have to have redone or the work that wasn’t completed (painting and caulking trim).

Originally, I was not going to leave a review since I really didn't have a positive experience with Matt for my project. I am only leaving an HONEST review. But instead of going into detail of the long list of problems we had for my home remodeling, I will let you know what to do differently to have a better experience... 1- Make sure your contract is thorough and very detailed with every expected additional cost. That includes placing items back (kitchen islands, sink pedestals, trim, ect) into their original state of condition after the project is completed. This also includes to add the financial responsibility of a dumpster if needed for your project, so you don't have almost 900sqft of flooring thrown into your garage. 2- My home project was subcontracted. I had no idea who the people were that were in my home completing my project. I didn't know their company name or anything about these individuals that he was sending to my home (I like to research/review businesses first). If you hire Matt with Laser Line Painting to complete your project and he doesn't plan on doing the project himself, make sure to ask who he is using and who he is sending over to your home, so you don't walk into your kitchen with a random guy standing in your home. 3- DO NOT pay for your project until it is completed and you are happy with the end results of your project. My home project was "completed" on March 3rd, 2023, the day of the snow storm. He was in such a rush to end that day and beat the snow storm, that he promised to come back for touch ups, replace my sink pedestal back, secure my kitchen island... he didn't show the next week that he said he would come back to complete the job. When I later asked him, he denied the responsibility of the unfinished work, called my husband a liar and even made a personal insult to our relationship. I later made an anonymous post to Facebook about my situation and asking how to handle it. I received an overwhelming amount of comments that he was responsible for the uncompleted work and that I should call his business out to warn others. Laser Line Painting was called out in a comment when my problems in the post was utterly familiar to the problems that others had experienced. He tried to rectify the problem, only after he saw the post. DO NOT pay until the job is 100% completed. 4- As much as I hate to say this.... make sure in your contract that it states there is no smoking marijuana while on the job. Matt would sit in my driveway and smoke while he was working on my project. I understand that it is legal and your business is your business. But as the homeowner and his customer, I was upset for the liability nightmare he risked putting us in if he got hurt with any of the tools or saws when he was on the job. 5- Be prepared for uncomfortable situations. Matt sent me a text to ask if he could have a TV (from my home) for his garage. 6- Try to keep all conversations in text messages for references. Trust me you will thank me later. I could have 4 different conversations with Matt and each time he would give me 4 different answers or 4 different promises, each time denying the previous answer. 7- The payment methods
