We had the other guys do a punch list of repairs and updates on our house in order to sell it. Brad directed his workers and they completed the work and actually did much much more than initially agreed(without extra charge!!!) in very timely fashion. All his workers were courteous and punctual. When we needed some last minute help with some other items they were more than happy to help. We were very impressed with “The Orher Guys” and I recommend them without reservation. We’ve worked with a number of contractors in the past and these guys were the nicest, most punctual and trustworthy ones we’ve worked with. By the time the job was complete which was pretty much right on time they were more like family than contractors. I’d hire them again in a heart beat.

Fantastic! After being less than impressed in our quest to find a contractor to help us with a major renovation, we found The Other Guys, and they are great! They are responsive, and they show up when they say they will in a timely manner. Their work was wonderful. We couldn't be happier with the results! We will definitely use them again, and we have already referred them to several friends who need a contractor.

Very dependable and hardworking. Had great suggestions during our bathroom remodel. Would not hesitate to hire them for future projects.

Country Living | Apr 2016 | Built in 1910 this old farmhouse was in need of a new metal roof. According to the current residents the home had been vacant for several years and prior to its vacantcy the roof had had only minor repairs and the occasional fresh coat of paint since the 1930's. The homeowners knew they had their hands full after contacting several contractors who upon seeing the height and steep pitch of the roof, turned down the project due to its difficulty.Lucky for them The Other Guys were up to the task. With ropes and saftey gear in hand we took on the challenge of bringing this old farmhouse back to life with a new metal roof. Once started it became apparent rather quickly that the homes entire roofing system was in need of repairs. After removing the original rough cut slat sheeting and and repairing numerous broken and rotted boards we recovered the framework of the roof with OSB sheeting and a synthetic underlayment designed for use with metal roofing systems. Continueing to hang from our ropes when then pulled the metal roofing up using a pulley system mounted to the roof. After several long days in a harness we finallly conquered the 110 year old farmhouse house roof that had scared off those before us. | $22k | Hurricane, WV
Plastics make it possible. | May 2015 | This home's multi-layered siding was due for an update and with so many deviations from structural norms, vinyl is the perfect option. Vinyl is designed to be installed loosely. This ensures the vinyl can expand and contract with changes in temperature. Loose installation also enables you to hide some of the imperfections common in homes built to non-contemporary specifications. This one turned out great. Thanks for checking it out. | $4k | Barboursville, WV
The Big Unit | May 2015 | This was one of those projects that started with a detailed wish list. Generally, these are the fun ones. It included an arched entry to an elaborately tiled shower, a 2 foot addition to make space to stretch your legs while on the throne, a sliding entry door, a towel closet, and the list just seemed to go on in this tiny space. In the excitement to get started, I forgot the before photos, but I think the finished product picks up the slack. | $9k | Hamlin, WV
Shingles to Sheetmetal | May 2015 | The shingles were pretty worn out, but worse, the seals throughout the rubber portion of the roof were failing. This was also a particularly flat section of roof where shingles just wouldn't do. Sheet metal offers a number of benefits, one being that it can shed water from a much flatter roof! Problem solved. | $5k | Huntington, WV
Bathroom Mosaic | Dec 2014 | This bathroom had suffered some fire damage and is nearly back in order. We were only called in for the flooring, but it provided a couple days work cutting a lot of angles. Here's how it turned out: | $1k | Chesapeake, OH
Wet Snowy Feet? New Tile Entryway! | Dec 2014 | With Winter weather rapidly approaching, these clients were looking to upgrade their old vinyl entryway with something that will both look and hold up better to those wet, muddy boots. Laying tile always means a couple days that you can't walk on the floor, but the beauty and longevity are well worth the sacrifice. | $2k | Huntington, WV
New Roof Before Winter Hits | Oct 2014 | We were cleaning the gutters when we noticed numerous soft and cracking spots in the existing roof. After discussing this with the home owners, it was expressed that the roof hadn't seen any work but simple repairs in over 20 years. This was really all we needed to know to recommend that they let us remove the existing shingles, replace all damaged sheeting, and reinstall felt and shingles over the entire roof. It was good that we did. The sheeting showed years of water damage, had numerous holes from rotten wood, and the edges were rotten throughout. This was a good investment in a roof that will last another 25+ years. | $8k | Huntington, WV
I've Never Liked Those Lights! | Oct 2014 | We were initially brought in to paint the walls and ceilings to freshen things up for the holidays. A discussion then snowballed about what to do with the old square recessed lights that didn't really stay tight to the ceiling and, for as long as they could remember, never really did. We decided on replacing them with modern recessed lights, and further, reorienting the light pattern, as it was somewhat random. This meant cutting some holes in the ceiling and running some new wires, but all proved worth it when the new fixtures were completed. | $2k | Huntington, WV
Small Space, Lots of Storage | Oct 2014 | These clients were ready for a serious kitchen upgrade, but had one major limitation...space. The goal became to pack in as much storage as possible while better organizing the existing kitchen and hopefully creating more usable space. We scrapped this kitchen all the way down to replacing the floor joists and I believe the photos will say tell the rest of the story. | $17k | Huntington, WV |
