Phil Thompson

Phil Thompson claims" he does pay" the men that work for him. But after working a few days for Phil, (at the end of March 2017) our son, John, has never received payment for his labor. Through out the month of April, our son has called Phil numerous times to get Phil to pay him. Phil has continued not to pay the wages he owes to our son. I spoke with Phil to bring this matter to a resolve. Phil admitted he still owed money to John. Phil told me he would speak with John to resolve the matter of unpaid wages. I thanked Phil and told him I would not file any complaints or Texas Payday Forms per Texas Labor Code sec 61.019, if he would talk with John and pay the wages John is owed. Currently, Mr. Phil Thompson has not made effort to resolve the matter of unpaid wages. Mr. Thompson assured me that his contractor company was ethical toward the people who work for him. Presently, a month has passed with Mr. Thompson refusing to pay wages to John. I would be curious if an audit would reveal other instances of unpaid wages by Mr. Thompson. When researching companies to do business with, I would think ethics and honesty would dictate one's decision in their choice.
