A Fresh Look

Karl was employed to install back splash tiling in our kitchen and repair drywall from where cabinets were removed. We decided to hire Karl based on online reviews and company recommendations. He appeared to be a good candidate, but everything changed once he started the job and was in my house. A job that should have taken two days top was extended to an entire week. He was late everyday, once two hours late without even a phone call. He would provide lame excuses to leave the job early everyday. We were charged to have the existing tile removed, the drywall removed to studs and replaced and the tile installed. Due to new countertops being installed by another company, the existing tiling had to be removed before Karl arrived. He only replaced some of the drywall and patched others areas with a large amounts of spackle, which did not have enough time to dry before having tile installed. The tile in that area is 'soft' when pressed. He only used a few spacers even though he had a huge bucket of them, and when he left for the day, I placed several spacers to fix the already drooping areas. In my opinion, his demeanor was arrogant, rude and the behavior was unacceptable, especially since he was working for me and in my house. Just one example: There were several areas of the tile that were crooked (did not use spacers) and when we asked to have them straightened, he looked at us and said, "seriously?" He did reimburse us $100 for the terrible work seen in pictures. I would not recommend him to do ANY work in your home. My kitchen was remodeled and other than the tile work by Karl, it is gorgeous.

Karl and Tom really got the job done with excellent quality, professionalism, and communication. Our kitchen looks a million times better than when it started. Floors are perfect and everything turned out as we had hoped. Thanks a bunch guys!

Karl and Tom did a complete master bathroom renovation. They are meticulous professionals with an eye for detail. Beside the obvious...their quality work... we truly appreciated their timeliness(they always showed up and called when they said they would) and their honesty.(we gave them a key to our home) As one would expect, there were some bumps along the way but because of their excellent communications with us, things always were resolved in an expedient manner. Karl and Tom are amazing at what they do. My master bathroom is breathtaking thanks to their talents, dedication, and hard-work. Karl and Tom have done other projects for us through the years. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend A Fresh Look Inc. for any repair, remodel or renovation.
