Contemporary Kitchen Remodel | May 2014 | This contemporary kitchen has just the right blend of form and function. The counters are quartz, the perfect complement to the contemporary kitchen. A glass tile backsplash adds some sparkle. This kitchen also has greater capacity with a new double-oven and an over-sized refrigerator. Upper cabinets also reach the ceiling maximizing storage. The lighting was also updated with new recessed lighting, pendants, and under-cabinet lighting, great for lighting work surfaces and creating a bright space. Also keeping the space light and bright are the new maple floors. This renovation also included the adjacent laundry room. | Greenfield, IN
Perkins Kitchen Remodel | Feb 2014 | The beauty of this kitchen is found in the wonderful finishes and unique features. Walnut flooring, a walnut bar top, and granite counters are just some of the beautiful finishes. The exposed brick wall found over the cooktop comes from the brick fireplace flue coming up from basement. Also, the island features a custom curve around which barstools are placed. Smart planning can be found throughout this kitchen. The island has a deep sink for big pots. The cabinetry is European or frameless, giving plenty of clearance to get in and out of the cabinets. The existing space was enhanced by rearranging and replacing windows in addition to moving and resizing radiators. This kitchen remodel also needed major structural support. Steel beams were required for extra support to the floor. In order to create an opening to the adjacent space, a column was added to support the ceiling. | Greenfield, IN
Small Bathroom Remodel | Sep 2013 | This bathroom renovation is a great example of maximizing space in an older home. The sink is nestled into a bay window, a space that otherwise might go unused. This vessel sink is built into a classic table creating a unique vanity that feels right at home in this house. A mirror is suspended from the ceiling over the sink. Across from the vanity, a semi-frameless shower enclosure maximizes the openness of the space. | Greenfield, IN
Trujilo Bathroom Remodel with porch | May 2013 | This contemporary remodel brings the outdoors in. A shower tower near the window allows the owner to take in the view. Natural light comes in through a new skylight in a beautiful teak wood ceiling. This bathroom has several features that feel right at home in a contemporary bath, such as a poured concrete trough sink and a textured glass panel wall. Keeping features well integrated is another way in which this bath is contemporary. Over the sinks, a custom bulkhead (matching the new cabinetry) was installed to house lighting. Near the shower tower, a discreet linear drain was placed next to the wall. In addition to being great-looking, this bath has some other comfortable and convenient amenities worth mentioning. They include a steam shower with two showerheads and a heated floor. | Greenfield, IN
Kitchen With a View | May 2013 | This kitchen remodel includes a new, wider window so the owners can take in the view of the garden. Glass cabinets and an island in a different color give some variety to the space. A tile backsplash coordinated with granite countertops adds a beautiful and practical touch. New pendants and sconces light work surfaces and create visual interest. The kitchen was also opened to the family room by removing an interior wall. Though the change created a space with a much larger feel, the new oak floors gave the room the warmth often lacking in larger spaces. | Greenfield, IN
Multi-Room Remodel | Mar 2013 | This client had had three projects completed by My Home in Indy. The first is a conversion of a screened porch to a three-season room including a heat-cool unit to truly make it usable on the unusually hot or cold days. An opening was created for access to the second project for this client, a room addition to create a larger kitchen. This kitchen feels very expansive because of the cathedral ceiling. Keeping this open space bright are the skylights, a large casement window over the sink and new lighting. The third project was a bathroom remodel with custom features. The mirror was custom made for this bathroom and includes lighting and shelving. The fish and starfish ceramic tile were also custom made and appear on the tub wall as well the floor and counter. This bathroom also has unique complementary wallpaper. | Greenfield, IN
Room Addition | Apr 2011 | The purpose of this room addition was to expand the kitchen. Previously a galley kitchen, the new kitchen includes an island. The painted cabinets are great choice to contrast with the new stained cherry wood floor. The granite counters pull it all together with colors found in the floor and cabinetry. The breakfast nook gets its own special treatment with a unique pendant and a built-in bench seat for the table. The exterior of the 5 x 20 addition included Hardie Plank siding, a new door, two new windows, and new gutters. In addition to a new roof for the addition, the rest of the house was re-roofed and a new paver patio was installed. | Greenfield, IN
Attic Conversion | Feb 2011 | This project is an attic conversion including a new dormer. HardiePlank siding covers the exterior of the dormer. In addition to the windows required for the new dormer, existing windows were replaced as well. The existing attic space required some additional attention. The walls and ceiling needed to be removed because they had been painted with lead-based paint. Special insulation in addition to an individual heat-cool unit was installed for better climate control. This attic space also has some custom features. A custom closet was built into the existing dormer. A new custom railing was also installed; it is removable to accommodate furniture going up and down the stairs. | Greenfield, IN
