Fred is an exceptionally talented landscape designer and is especially knowledgeable with regard to drought tolerant plants. With his vast plant knowledge Fred was able to help us choose and utilize a variety of drought tolerant plants and position them a manner that was very artistically appealing. He also invested a great deal of time and energy into creating a design that was appealing to us and very pleasing to our guests as well. We have had a number of guests tell us that they don’t want to leave our yard at the end of an evening gathering. Fred took a great deal of time to work toward our approval of the project and he also agreed to assist us with placement of all of the plants which was a huge asset in making sure the project was consistent with the design. He was committed to the project and stayed with it to the end. Fred was responsible and organized and we were more than delighted with Fred and the outcome of both the front and backyard projects. Because our property is an acre we were uncertain about how we would be able to transform such a large piece of property. We believe that Fred is a ‘landscape genius’ and was able to manifest a landscape work of art for us. We have built and landscaped many homes and Fred has been by far the absolute best landscape designer that we have ever worked with. Thanks Fred! M. Wilson

I can't tell you how please we are with Scancelli's work. I am one that does a lot of research into whom I choose for any work and Fred went above and beyond our expectations. Fred sat down with me and my wife and patiently listened to all of the concepts we wanted for our courtyard and backyard. My wife and I have very different tastes and he was able to present design ideas that incorporated both of our preferences. As a matter of fact, he was able to provide several options for us to choose from and we ultimately made a blend of two of the options. Today, we have a backyard that we couldn't be more happy with and design elements that "wow's" all of our guests. It's a perfect place for the family to lounge at any time of the day, yet fully functional as an entertainer's domain. Above all of this, he came in so reasonably priced versus all of these other landscape architects, it's hard to believe. To boot, he provided all of the proper designs (2' x 3' paper copies) to submit to the association and landscaper which made the entire process extremely smooth. These are very professionally done as well with a copy for plant design and light/landcape design. Oh, I should mention that he is a specialist in plants/trees as well so a trip to the nursery is a true delight. I can't wait to see the yard when some of these plants have matured. He's a true professional and partner when it comes to getting the design you want. I can't recommend him enough.

I wanted to replace approx. 1000 sq ft of grass in my back yard with a paver patio, fire pit, bbq island, etc. to be ready for hosting a back yard wedding. Fred very quickly provided several different options for the layout, including graphic views from multiple directions of each option. These made it very easy for us to visualize the final product and work with Fred to move things around. He provided ideas and suggestions that we hadn’t even considered. Fred is very professional, thorough, and wonderful to work with. I’d highly recommend him for any landscaping project.

We just moved into our new home and never had experience with landscape design. Fred was highly recommended from many other home owners in our community. Once we met Fred he was very attentive and listened to our needs. Fred provided us with many ideas for our overall design and once we chose a design he brought it to life in a 3D format which gave us a really good idea of what the real thing was going to look like. Not only did Fred give us a great design he is also an expert at helping us pick the right plants for our yard. This is one place I was clueless but Fred helped educate us by meeting us at the nursery and spending 3-4 hours with us to select our plants. Lastly we were unsure of how to present our plan for HOA approval and Fred helped us there too, he read and studied our HOA guidelines and he got our plan approved on the very first pass with no corrections. Even after our design was finished Fred has always been there for follow up questions and he takes pride in making sure his design comes to life. I would recommend Fred to anyone.
