Lawn Treatment Service - Isle of Palms, SC
Organic Soil and Tree Service Company servicing the greater Charleston, SC area. There is no company like us so most of our business word of mouth. We usually are called in when there are major problems with your yard. Many times, a "fertilization and chemical" company has "torched" a friend's yard and there's a real problem. They tell their friend to call Soil Pros and we can "fix" the problem. Everything we use is organic...Safe for kids, pets, and the environment. We are 180 degrees different from 95% of the service providers out there. Everything we do is based on the premise that "Mother Nature" created it right...man screwed things up. We just need to get things back in alignment. If we can get your yard healthy using organic means - you will not have weeds, diseases, insect pests... It doesn't happen overnight - neither did your yard get this way all at once. 1. "Weeds" have a purpose. Their main function is to cover bare ground so that it can cool the soil, heal it, and eventually die and provide food for the more beneficial plants. 2. Diseases prey on the weak. They are nature's way ("sanitary waste engineers") of disposing of things unnecessary to the betterment of the planet. Imagine going into a kindergarten class in December - if you're not healthy, you'll catch the flu... 3. Insects prey on the weak. A healthy soil has enough beneficial microbes, fungi and predatory insects to stave off most attacks by the "bad guys". Major Influencers on plants and turf are: 1. Moisture 2, Temperature 3. Light 4. Traffic We treat the soil not the plants, per se. If the soil is healthy - the plants will be healthy...as long as you have the right plants. We treat your sod, your flowers, your shrubs and your trees. There are places in Charleston, SC that are primarily made up of clay soils - like Daniel Island, parts of Mt. Pleasant, Summerville and Moncks Corner. And there are many places that are mostly sandy soil such as Isle of Palms, James Island, Johns Island, Kiawah and Sullivans Island. We can break up clay and add organic material to the sandier soils to help them become more fertile and retain moisture. In addition to hundreds of monthly residential clients in and around Charleston, South Carolina, our clients include sod farmers, athletic fields, nurseries, garden centers, builders, and landscapers...to name a few. Builders and/or their landscapers are usually responsible for thier work up to one year after close - they engage us to make sure they don't have to replace their trees, shrubs and plants. Landscapers use us as consultants with their most difficult clients. Sod Installers use us their cure the problems with new sod installs rather than just putting a band-aid over a soil problem. We also "fertilize", trim, prune, and remove trees and palms. Many times - a growth issue is related to shade. We can look at your irrigation system to make sure it is functioning properly and delivering the proper amounts of water your yard requires. (75% of all yard "issues" are water-related) So, in a nutshell, you have never encountered a company like ours. We care about the environment, we deliver excellent service, we want to make things right - but we need your help...We can't fix things overnight that have taken years to get to where they are. If you want all the weeds in your yard gone tomorrow and you want it to look like a golfcourse - don't call us. You need a chemical based company that uses chemical nutrition, herbicides, pesticides, and insecticides. We kinda liken this approach to someone in the hospital whose fed nutrients and antibiodics intreveniously. They're alive - but what's the quality of life? As soon as they encounter something from the outside world - it's over. We're not "tree-huggers", nor do we have some political or hidden agenda. As the owner, I'm getting older and looking at what I can leave to those that follow. I believe we were put here to make a difference. Mostly missed that in my younger years. But now things have changed, I believe I can affect the views of some... I'd be happy to come out and look at your yard, fiields, farm or development. No charge to you. My dilemma is that we don't really have any direct competition - there are others vying for your same dollars - however it's not apples to apples. Paul Saucier - 843-593-3655 My clients unaniously agree - meet with me and you'll be glad you did.
