Anchor Painting is owned and operated by myself, Jake Scott. I am a 3rd generation painter, growing up doing this trade. I take great pride in my work, not leaving until the homeowner is satisfied with the outcome. I enjoy being able to take a house, and turn it into a home. The key to a good paint job is to go the extra step to make sure the suface is ready for paint, spending the time needed to prep. I only use high end paint and materials that are going to last you. I am happy to provide my services from small jobs such as painting a door or a bedroom,to full interiors and exteriors. I can service all your painting needs such as: trim work, walls and ceilings, doors, windows, drywall patches, exterior trim, siding, stain work, scraping, pressure washing, concrete, deck staining or painting. I also provide a free color consultant to help you choose the perfect colors, because painting your home is so much more than just hiring a painter. Anchor Painting is ready transform your home.

We hired Jake for the whole house repainting during house remodeling. When he provided estimation, he sounded like a professional, but resulted quality of work and overall experience was poor. He said that he would start later than we agreed initially, but after I rescheduled some other work in the house, he decided to start earlier than we agreed. He so rushed to finish the job, that he didn’t apply 2 coats of paint on every wall as he promised; cut line between ceiling was not straight at all (it became worse than it had been painted before by non-professional). As Jake started earlier, he didn’t communicate clearly with us to check what concerns we have that should be fixed before he started, as the result he missed many wholes in the walls. We installed new floors and Jake promised to cover them, but we found a lot of small dots all over our floor that we had to clean up after him. He was not available for touch ups even I started asking him week before our move in day. We had to hire another painters to finish all. Jake promised to reimburse for touch ups and didn’t.

I needed the interior of my 2 br, 2 ba condo painted a new color and requested bids from 3 painters. Jake Scott, owner of Anchor Painting met me at my condo, on time and with a professional demeanor to give me an estimate. He was, far and away, the most professional and thorough of the 3 contractors. I told him what I needed and he described in great detail his approach, his materials and the time required for the job. His estimate was in line with the other contractors, but Jake uses far better quality paint than the others had described (one actually told me it didn't matter!). Jake also included in his bid some drywall repair work I needed done, including a significant crack in the cathedral ceiling. Jake's finished product was spectacular: great coverage, even color and no streaks or funky patches. And the drywall work was great, as well. He finished on time, at cost and kept the condo clean throughout the process. I highly recommend Jake for any job you may have, indoor or out. Thanks a million jake! John Powers
