A & B Construction Inc

A&B Construction was named after my wife Andrea and our daughters Alyssa and Britney. I have long known that construction was what I wanted to do for a lifelong living. I started building custom decks during the summers of 1985 while I was still in High School. After high school I went into the U.S. Navy as a SeaBee, this is the Navy's Construction Battalion. I learned allot about all forms of construction and construction management. From small repair jobs for offices, to planning and management of multi-million dollar Base additions and renovations. After the military, I returned to the Jackson area where I began building around the Clark Lake and Lake Columbia Area. After ten years I felt it was time to move on, and then worked North of Jackson building spec homes for a builder for a few years before the housing market started to decline. After that I went to Ann Arbor and worked for a national repair and renovation company. During the course of becoming a licensed builder. The State of Michigan enacted new legislation requiring all licensed builders to attend a minimum of 40 hours of classroom instruction. I was one of the first to go through this process and take the new examinations.
