Excellent design begins with inspiration, exceptional vision and provocative thinking. With an intense passion for architecture since childhood Mark has always considered the profession to be his calling. It is through this lens that he brings the focus of his 20 years in the field to each project. Mark has a BA in Graphic Art from St. Norbert College, a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin, and a Master of Architecture from Boston Architectural College. Mr. Macco is a registered Architect in the states of Florida and Georgia. Mark's work can be seen in several local publications and books. Additionally, he was one of two Florida Architects chosen to be in the book 21st. Century Homes by Panache Publishing, 2011, available worldwide. Mark considers himself an Architects Architect with an equal emphasis on the technical as well as the aesthetic challenges inherent in each project. A member of the American Institute of Architects Mr. Macco has been tapped to play an advocacy role to be a liaison between the profession and our political leaders. Urban Bistro | Jun 2012 | Mark Macco Architects was selected to design a new high-concept restaurant in downtown Jacksonville. Mark created an innovative illumination plan to place lights strategically in large covered columns and in the soffits to positively influence the mood of the patrons as their dining experience progressed through the evening.
