There were several issues with the way Roger handled my concrete driveway project. First off, he won the bid on my job by stating it would be $1800. The problems started there as he only factored in the cost of the concrete pour and didnt even add his labor costs. He then drove up the price to $3100 which was way closer to other bids. He was still a little under other company's so I let him have it. 2nd, he never gave me an official quote, didnt provide his last name and doesnt have a working website (that should have been a bunch of red flags for me but I failed to acknowledge them). When he finally started putting on the form boards, he laid the line crooked (not parallel) to the house, and when I told him I didnt want it that way, he got upset and short and said it had to be [perpendicular] to the street. It did not and I have work on new construction before and this was never an issue. He then said it would be $400 for more concrete based on the size adjustment (9 YRD total). I figured this an acceptable amount, but once again, he did not quote or itemize anything properly in the beginning. He brought the price right back up to the competition which is unfair to me. I give him a 1 star for bad communication, poor business management and failing to appease customer concerns. Asking him to straighten form boards was not a big ask (especially considering he only laid the string line and 1/2 the boards when I brought it up). Unfortunately after 44 years in the business, you would think he knows that you have to listen to your customers concerns. I'm now left with a 40' mud puddle in my yard and have to start the process of finding someone all over. He is a nice guy, but a poor business man.

Roger did an outstanding job on some grading work we needed done. I was under a tight timeline and weather was not working in our favor but Roger came through for us. He had planned to come out on a Saturday but he encountered some unforeseen delays and came out on Sunday morning working in the rain to keep my project on track. He does a quality job and has nice equipment. He wanted to be certain were happy so he checked in along the way while he did the work so no details were missed. I would use him again.

Mr. Rogers promptly contacted me and came out to my home to discuss the project and to prepare an estimate. However, I never heard from him again.

Roger was great to work with. The project ended up to be a lot more then what I first expected but after having him come over to look at the situation he completed the project just as explained and promised. Fantastic to work with and would highly recommend Rogers Landscapes.
