He worked in many home-building trades before starting his own company in 1989. Remodeling your home is as much an emotional decision as an aesthetic and financial one. Eric's designs and craftsmanship respect the integrity of existing architecture, lifestyle, and client needs. Collaboration and problem-solving can be the most satisfying aspect of the process. Eric is comfortable working alongside architects, engineers, interior designers, tradesmen, and, above all, the client. Eric Gentry Home Remodeling carries a $1 million liability insurance policy and has all necessary licensing for any work in the metro area: Johnson County contractor license; Kansas City Missouri contractor license; EPA certification in lead renovation; NARI certified remodeler.

I hired Eric Gentry Home Remodeling for a number of projects: A down-to-the-studs bathroom remodel, a completely new kitchen, the addition of a front porch and a room addition to create a soundproof home recording studio. I can't speak highly enough of Eric's work. He is an inspired artist as much as a he is a careful contractor, who brought a wealth of creative ideas to each project. A remodeling project can be stressful, but my experience was anything but. Working with Eric and his crew was, in each case, a delight. I can't recommend him highly enough.

KC MO Loft bath remodel | Mar 2014 | Demo existing tub/shower surround, replace with custom shower with ceramic tile walls, full-height shower door, recessed ceiling light. Refinish and new doors on existing vanity, replace countertop, sink, tile backsplash, etc. Remove and replace all baseboards in entire condo. | $14k | Kansas City, MO
Leawood Kitchen 1 | May 2011 | Complete demo to studs, remove several interior walls, change window locations, complete re-wire, re-plumb etc., new hardwood floors, new drywall and paint, new custom cabinetry and countertops, all new appliances | $60k | Leawood, KS
Professional Recording Studio | Mar 2011 | This KC-based voiceover artist needed a world-class recording studio in her home from which to send her voice out all over the nation. We constructed a second-story attic room addition, and boy did we ever pull out all the stops on this one. We worked with an architect and an acoustical engineer to create a work space that is both gorgeous and flawlessly functional. The compound angles of the walls and ceilings are pure poetry, and the HUGE window overlooking her landscaped back yard connects inside and outside for a truly stunning experience. The studio is on the second story, which created massive challenges to keep it quiet from outside noises, and suffice it to say, every square inch of the walls, ceiling, and floor are loaded with technology. Definitely one of the most beautiful and unique spaces I've ever built. | $124k | Leawood, KS
Ward Parkway Garage | Jun 2010 | This stately 1920's home on Ward Parkway by The Plaza had only outside parking in the rear; we added an architecturally sensitive garage. | $27k | Kansas City, MO
Leawood Room Addition 1 | Sep 2006 | At a time in her life when many homeowners are downsizing, this homeowner decided to add onto her longtime home and make it her dream home. We gutted the existing kitchen and dining room, removed multiple exterior walls and added 3 new room additions in several areas, including: beautiful huge new cherry kitchen with all new appliances, new full bath, new first-floor laundry room, and a large sunroom with beadboard ceiling and heated ceramic tile floors. We built a new front porch and rear deck, and re-sided the entire house. Dream home accomplished! | $242k | Leawood, KS
Leawood Kitchen 2 | Jun 2006 | This 1930's tudor in old Leawood just oozed old school charm, but the kitchen was less than charming. We demo'd the entire room including taking out the soffits over the cabinets, enlarged the existing doorway to the dining room, re-wired all the electrical and lighting, installed and finished new hardwood flooring, and installed new custom cabinets, Silestone countertop, and backsplash. | $32k | Leawood, KS |
