Hallmark Stone

We ordered our countertops through Home Depot and they subcontracted the work through Hallmark Stone. In the end, I’m extremely dissatisfied with my countertops. They don’t look like they cost over $3,000 and the whole experience was infuriating. There is a seam that really stands out even though the guy who did the template said we didn’t need to worry about it because you wouldn’t be able to see it at all. That was 100% a lie. That seam is a total eyesore. Our “expediter,” Kathy, was hard to get ahold of, slow, and rude. I sent her a detailed email with pictures showing all of the issues we were having, and after a week or so of not hearing back from her, I called her. She hadn’t even read the email. She told us she’d send someone out to fix it and said we could request an AM or PM appointment, but then gave us the opposite of what we asked for. I also asked for different installers to come out the second time because the guys who had done it the first time rushed the job and it ended up looking terrible. Of course Kathy sent out the same installers the second time, and they didn’t even have all the tools they needed because Kathy didn’t tell the what they were supposed to come fix. They also left caulking on the countertops, making them look dirty and I can’t get it off. Then, the shop added the wrong edge profile to one piece so Hallmark had to come out again, take the piece out, and then come back later to reinstall it. Of course Kathy didn’t care that we were missing part of our countertop, and their mistake delayed us putting in our backsplash. I’m pissed every time I look at our countertops and see the sloppy job that Hallmark did and the money we wasted on them. I wish we had spent the extra money to get a company who knew what they were doing and cared about their customers’ satisfaction.
