  | Atlanta, Georgia Custom Wine Cellar Adds Excitement to Home Entertainment Area | Apr 2012 | The Yugueros family approached us to build this lovely wine cellar which is next to a bar area here in their Atlanta Georgia home. We flipped a common area in their home into a unique scene using Knotty Alder and colored with Chestnut stain and lacquer. You get a full view of the entire cellar where it offers a large glass door with a window to the right and left. The dual pane glass gives it the right insulation for the space, allowing guests and family members to have a view inside their wine collection. We added sidelights to have a touch of drama to the wine rack display. The custom crafted Knotty Alder arch, is centered on the back wall and serves as the focal point of the cellar. We have individual bottle storage that curves around the corners for a more stylish feel whilst making great use of the storage space. We also added a double deep back wall tabletop with solid X bins and rolling double deep case storage underneath for easier access. We put recessed LED ceiling lighting on a dim-able switch. There is a separate dim-able switch for the display rows. A puck light is also included. The owners in this project chose a CellarPro 3200si ducted self-contained unit. It sits in a mechanical room nearby. We ducted it to the wine cellar. The hot air is ducted out of the home from the mechanical room. We placed the cooling unit in a separate room, and ducted the airflow to reduce the sound heard in the wine cellar, making the entire wine collecting experience more pleasing. We partnered with our friends at Certified Construction in Atlanta to complete this residential project.
