Beware! This guy sells himself as a man of God but is a liar and a cheat. I could share many more details about Kris's shady dealings but here is one example: I told him from our first conversation that we wanted to buy all our own windows, doors, appliances, etc. We understood that this is an area that most contractors make money by making a small make-up and that if he couldn’t do that, he would probably charge a little more for his profit. We had a full conversation about why we wanted to do it this way and he was fine with it, supposedly. While we were starting to research our windows and doors and had decided on Andersen, he said why don't you go through my contact at Home Depot, and you can get my contractor discount. This way he could pick them up for us since he would be the one to install them anyway. I asked him how much that would save, he said probably several hundreds or maybe as much as a thousand dollars. Well, it turned out that I was over charged by $7,000. What I ordered was $24,000 worth of doors/windows but he charged me over $31,000. I discovered this by calling HD and asking for the invoice since they were for my home. When I saw that there was a huge difference, I called Kris to meet with him and for him to bring all his receipts because I wanted clarification on some of the costs. I asked him to come clean since I now had proof and I would still be okay to move forward with the project if he just came clean. He promised me and swore to me that he was a man of God and he would never cheat someone, it is against everything he believes in. He also promised me that what I paid was exactly what he had paid although he couldn't find those invoices in his file. He said he would find them when he gets back to his office and send them to me. Of course, he never did. There are several other examples of him being a cheat but this one stands out. The work that he did do, which was mostly a foundation for a 5,000 square foot building turned out to have several mistakes too long to describe here. He also treats his employees like garbage which was not fun to witness either. Do yourself a favor and find someone else, he is trouble and a liar to the core.
