My name is Ian Bender, owner of Ship to Shore Custom Builders. I have been in the building and maintenance trades for 20 years, divided between homes, condos, yachts and boats, in both private and commercial applications. I am blessed to have a very diverse history in building, renovation and maintenance, though my heart and soul is a long celebrated background of boat builders, woodworkers and other artisan craftsmen that I have been fortunate enough to train and study under. My experience also allows me to provide a valuable and thorough service in electrical, appliance and plumbing; maintenance, repair and troubleshooting. Since moving to Maui, one thing that has really stood out to me is: though there are talented contractors here, there is a lack of reliability and credibility amongst many of them. I am a talented craftsman who is on your team, with an island mentality and a mainland work ethic. My company is based out of Kihei but we are very happy to provide service anywhere on the Island. My goal is to provide you a seamless experience from start to finish. I want to help you mitigate and remediate any and all maintenance issues you are now or may be facing in the future, big and small, ensuring that you, your family and your guests are getting the most from their experience in your home.
