I hired Eric Clark to do a complete remodel of our home in Kingsport TN. We have 3 total contracts with him worth $18,675, but the latest one has a completion date of 4/31/17. On Sunday, July 16th my husband and I drove down to TN for the big "reveal" that Eric promised even the night before via text message. We got there and the house was in shambles. We found Eric passed out in a back bedroom from apparent drug use. Apparently he has been living in our home and using drugs instead of doing what he was paid to do. We immediately called the police and Eric was arrested, not for the fraud but for not paying child support. We have 7 months? worth of text messages and promises that this will be complete. Eric has been paid in full over $19k for labor and the house is about 50% complete and a lot of the work was done wrong so it will be additional labor and material costs. We are now in the process of hiring another crew to finish the job. We have a pending fraud charge against him with the Sullivan County Sheriff's Dept.

Asked for $7000 down for materials and equipment to install a driveway and carport. This man did not know what he was doing and ended up causing damage to my entire yard (full of dirt and gravel), Hitting a tree in my yard that now needs to be taken down, damaged my neighbors driveway, and improperly framed in for concrete driveway. It is a complete mess and this man states he used ALL my $7000. Refuses to answer calls or texts regarding this matter. He does not have a contractor's license and is not insured.
