About Specialty Insulation NW, LLC
Specialty Insulation NW derived from a company founded in 1969. In 2009, we recognized a pattern in the marketplace of unreliable work. We came to the understanding that customers in the Seattle area were demanding a front-runner for customer service and quality work that they could rely on. Energized by the realization, we began to reinvent ourselves to embrace a unique brand that the Seattle area could recognize for reliable insulation. We’re proud of our achievements so far and the impact that we’ve made for our customers. Both residential and commercial customers trust us to insulate their buildings, homes and facilities. Whether new or old, fresh installation or retrofitting, we’re available and happy to make sure the job is done right the first time. And with quality customer service as our priority, even some of the most high-profile residents in our area trust us to execute well and respect their privacy.

This company had glowing reviews on yelp and other professional websites, however, the service and actual work product we experienced was less than desirable. The owner was very responsive though and clearly cares about his customers, however, it doesn't change the fact that his crew consistently showed up hours late, dripped bleach solution all over the uncovered corners of the room with attic access (therefore requiring us to spend time cleaning the bleach from our items and the room), did not replace moved around items, and trampled plants outside the window to the room. The company also scheduled to have a huge load of insulation delivered to our house (not for our project) so they could pick it up later which would have been fine except the insulation sat in our yard for hours (since the crew was hours late) and the truck they had delivering the insulation ripped off a wire from our house and we're now responsible for ensuring the repairs are completed (that would not have happened but for them delivering the insulation that wasn't ours). They also charged us the second half of the payment immediately after the 1st day of work despite not finishing the job, verifying with us that work was completed at promised (it was not), not verifying with us that it was ok to charge our credit card (we were never informed they would be keeping our card on file), and included items in the bill which would never be completed. In the end, the owner addressed our concerns and removed the incomplete items from our bill. Given the weeks of headaches (and ongoing since we now have to deal with siding repair), we would NOT recommend this company.

Professional and attentive. The road was iced over but they still made it happen! Impressed.
