BEWARE!!! Called for a heating duct to be rerouted. I should’ve known then he wasn’t going to be honest because he quoted me $750 for the job when others quoted me half as much for the same job. He came down on the price once I told him no. He gave me a quote to do my basement shower install of $3000. That quickly went to over $3000 just to bust up the floor (concrete) which after busting it up, he then started to go up in price claiming he would have to start digging in various places in the basement to make it work. My gut feeling said “stop” so I told him to stop digging and just clean up, I wasn’t gonna continue with him. I went to go get materials to hold the debris he had already dug up, since he was gonna charge me $175 to haul away. Once I left he decided to break the coupling in the ground that he had dug around and then to refill the hole with the debris that was already dug out. I had 2 plumbers come out following him, same day and both said he was definitely trying to take advantage of the situation and what I needed done was already exposed and he shouldn’t have had to go any further than that. But since he broke the coupling (after I told him to stop) the job would now be harder to do. When he got ready to leave I asked him did he pour the debris back in the hole and he lied and said no. I have pics and video that show otherwise. The hole started filling with water and I texted and asked if he had broken something in there and that water was filling in the hole, to which he didn’t bother to respond. Not to mention the duct he rerouted isn’t installed properly. Please use someone else to get the job done properly my experience with him was terribly dishonest.

My wife and I hired Jay to remodel a 22-year-old shower. We did not want the expense of replacing the entire shower, but simply wanted the existing glass door and glass panels removed and replaced with a conventional shower curtain and liner hung on a shower rod. He did this and did it well for a reasonable price. In the process, he worked out design issues that were not apparent until the old shower door and panels were removed. He advised that we use a tension shower rod rather than the screw-to-the-wall shower rod I had intended him to install. He did this because the height of the tension rod could easily be adjusted as we tested to find the correct height needed to prevent shower water from spraying over the bottom edge of the stall. Jay and his helper (his son) worked efficiently and left with us with the remodeled shower we wanted ready to use.
