Shannon's Plumbing Service

I’m a licensed remodel contractor. I began using Shannon in 2018. He was referred by another guy that I did business with. I used Shannon on multiple jobs, including my personal home. He was pretty expensive, but he always did what he set out to do....in the beginning. We discussed his pricing a few times bc it seemed like he charged me something different every time he did a job. His hourly rate for just him was $115 per hour. When we discussed that I was a licensed contractor he told me he would do the work for me for $75 per hour since I was paying his workman’s comp insurance. Every job he did he charged me something different, which is sketchy, but his work was solid for the most part. But we never got to the $75 an hour that we discussed. All of this work he did included me running around picking up all the materials and getting everything together for him. Then the last job he did for me he installed 2 water heaters and some small plumbing issues, and built a custom shower pan for a tile shower we were building. It was $2500. Long story short, the pan cracked and had to be torn completely out and replaced. I was not too worked up about it but I did call him back and let him know. He proceeded to make excuses and say that there was no way bc he’s built a bunch of those pans. I took pictures and sent them to him. The thing cracked all the way across in two places. It was not done correctly. Never offered to make it right, nothing like that, just made excuses. He was supposed to come back and finish installing fixtures at the end of the remodel, install the tub, etc. I called him on a Wednesday bc we were planning on being done by the following week and everything was ready. He told me he would be there the next morning around 10. I never heard from him. Called him in Thursday afternoon and he told me something came up he would be there Saturday or Monday. I expressed to him that I needed to him to finish the tub bc we had to finish the surround in order to complete the bathroom. That was the last time I actually spoke with Shannon. The next few Interactions were all through text message. He never did come to finish the work. I waited around for a week to get him to do what needs to be done. This put us behind another week. I ended up getting another plumber to do the work cheaper and quite a bit quicker. I did send Shannon a text letting him know exactly how I felt about what he had down and that He had put me in a bit of a bind. All the dude had to do was let me know he was not coming Back, but instead he just kept making excuses. Stay away from this guy. He’s going to rape you on the price, and you never really know if he’s going to show up or not.
