Over 27 years ago, with a simple riding lawn mower and the desire to strike out on his own, Wayne L. Miller of Westlake, LA, began his lawn care business with a few residential properties and limited resources, all the while maintaining his full-time position at one of the local industries. For several years, he worked long hours in addition to his regular 40-hour-per-week job, until his growing clientele of residential and local businesses allowed him to retire from his full-time employer. So, with a steady stream of customers and a growing list of offers on his steps, he began taking on the help of his family and a few employees to assist him in various areas of the business. Over the years, the contracts grew to businesses around the Southwest Louisiana area, including city lawn maintenance contracts, convenience store property maintenance, real estate properties, and a number of other residential, business, and industry-related properties. In 2007, his son, Robert L. Miller, who had been working with him throughout the years, in addition to his employment at one of the local refineries, received his irrigation installation and maintenance license, and merged with his fathers business to create M&M Lawn and Irrigation, LLC. As their business and staff has continued to grow, their reputation of providing professional service, high-quality workmanship, and their commitment to customer satisfaction, has afforded them the privilege of working with clients in the lake area and several other area businesses and industries around the state.
