AB Construction has done several jobs in the past ten years for us from handyman work to quite literally gutting a house and remodeling from the frame. AB Construction is knowledgeable, personable, professional and fair with cost. AB Construction took all of our ideas and visions and made them a reality. I would recommend AB Construction to anyone with any kind of project and will continue to use them in the future myself.

In relation to the work for Gregory Rogers he became a YouTube university graduate, Greg never bothered to voice his preferences on the work until after portions of work was completed. When i put the PVC coupler at the mixing valve in the shower it was at his request originally. Then after he had a night to Google he informed me that it wansnt rated for hot water ,which is true if you are using water that is over 140 degrees Fahrenheit whereas cpvc is rated at 180 . Gregory argued that even though the manufacture of the product that was being installed came with a recommended warranty installation CD and PDF instructions they were wrong and he was right. I even contacted the manufacturer and Greg refused to take their recommendations. Using PVC to plumb a complete hot water system is not correct but one coupler to accommodate a costumer that insisted that he had to have a 3/4 feed all the way to his mixing valve when all mixing valves are 1/2 connection points is a pointless endeveavor since it reduces to a 3/8 inner diameter at the connection point anyway. As far as the caulking or not caulking around a tub he had adrop in Jacuzzi tub that with previous install the tub wasn't installed properly and would Rock back and forth , I repaired that so tub did not have any movement and the grout we used was specifically made for this type of use. He also came in and watched me put this around tub and never said a word until the next day after the grout had hardened if it was such a big deal why not say something about it when it could have been removed easily. I did remove the grout from around the window. As far as grouting or caulking the corners of the tile wall installation if you are going to have movement in your corners and crack your grout then why grout at all because you will have movent in the field as well, let's get a little realistic you can take anything to an extreme. I was doing my best to take care of Mr Rogers as I could but when you are dealing with a customer that goes on drunking benders one week then dries out the next is not a customer you can please. The caulking will need to be removed and replace once a year and i was trying to make the shower as maintenance free as possible by using TEC 550 power grout that is crack resistant, fsde resistant and never needs to be resealed. Anything I Google and tried to show him was wrong and his Google search was right. I stand behind my quality of work and there are some people you just can't please.

Hired to install a custom shower, tile the shower, around hot tub and install tile flooring. After pointing out that the PVC he installed on the hot water line wasn't approved for hot water, Art tried to convince me that it was that he has installed it in all hot water lines. This is basic knowledge. He became angry when I had him replace it with CPVC. I should have taken this as things to come and fired him. He refused to follow basic tile installation procedures. He grouted instead of caulking against a wooden window casing, even after we discussed caulking next to it. He then grouted against the bathtub, should have been caulk. It was already failing the next day. He refused to remove it and install caulk. He has no knowledge of where to use caulk verse grout. He was a week over schedule, had drawn advance all but $500 on the project. He had at least another week left on the project (show up to work between (9-12). He refused to correct obvious poor workmanship, ensuring he would be fired and be able to move onto the next victim.

AB Construction reroofed our gazebo. We are very happy with their work and work ethic. The price was very reasonable. The job was started within 24 hours of agreeing to the estimate. They completed the job within 3 days, working past sundown on Christmas Eve in order to finish the job. The roof and gazebo were well tested and were in perfect condition following the high winds and heavy rains (15 inches) that started the day after Christmas.
