I just had two very large composite decks put in at my lake home, upper and lower. The crew did an excellent job. I'm very pleased. The very strong and heavy framing was carefully constructed. The guys needed to dig very deep holes for the foundational posts due to the amount of fill in my sloped backyard. The decks look great. John Almgren is a man of integrity, he's very responsive, offered great ideas, is experienced in deck construction, and is very reasonable with regard to cost, especially compared to other quotes I received. I highly recommend Almgren Construction!

I love this family run business! We needed some repairs done on our house before we sold it, and they were awesome. Very timely in replying to messages, and they've been open with us the whole way, telling us exactly what they would need to do. There was no overcharging, no unanswered questions, and it's obvious they care about customer satisfaction. If we ever need repairs again, we will be using Almgren Construction!

We used John and his crew to build a deck and a complicated doggie door with landing and stairs for our new home. They completed the project in a day and a half in rainy weather. They were cheerful, courteous, professional and knowledgable. I'll be calling him again in summer to build us a pergola of some sort.....

Front porch replacement | Feb 2015 | Remove and replace front porch due to stair tread failure during a delivery. The new deck was skinned with Ipe "Ironwood" over a pressure treated structure, and powder coated metal balusters. | $4k | Bothell, WA
Replace 2 gates and add arbor | Jan 2015 | Home owner needed a few small sections of fence rebuilt with 2 new gates, and wanted an arbor built for her wisteria. | $2k | Mukilteo, WA
Back yard remodel | Oct 2014 | The home owner wanted to remove a swim spa that had not been used in several years, add a patio with a gazebo and firepit to that space, and refurbish the remaining portion of the deck including repairing, leveling, reskining, and painting. | $39k | Edmonds, WA
Siding Leak Repair | Jul 2014 | Home owner had an addition to the kitchen built with a patio cut into the roof line above that leaked from the day it was built. The original contractor came out several time attempting to repair the leak unsuccessfully. In 6 hours we diagnosed and repaired the leaks, and returned the siding to it original condition ready for paint touch up. Due to rain, paint was completed later included in the cost. | $1k | Arlington, WA
LP Siding replacement | Jun 2014 | Siding on this house needed to be replaced due to failure of the recalled LP product originally used. This house was being sold on a short sale, and the project was funded through an escrow holdback (new owners were paying for the work based on a contract signed before the house was purchased with the contact amount included in the loan) We removed all the LP siding both sheet and lap. The sheet had no weatherization underneath and had not been properly sealed originally so some insulation had to be replaced. Luckily no mold was present in any wall cavities. | $17k | Marysville, WA
Simple fence with arbor over gate | Apr 2014 | Home owner needed 120lf of fence with 1 gate replaced. | $3k | Seattle, WA
Backyard Remodel | Nov 2015 | Fully changed the look of the back of the house using the client's design. Added a deck with hatches to reach the septic tank and lines for gas fire place and gas BBQ. Added roof, lighting, stairs etc. What a fun project! | Snohomish, WA
Dawson Place | Aug 2015 | Amazon.com had plans to launch a new program called Amazon Local Love and contacted Almgren Construction LLC to assist with their first project. Dawson Place in Everett is a child advocacy place where children that are abused physically or sexually come to receive assistance. We did some misc projects around the building but the biggest was to paint the hallways on the entire 1st and 2nd floors! It was a very satisfying project and received publicity on Amazon Local Love's website/facebook as well as a story on King5! | Everett, WA
Boardwalk | Dec 2014 | The home owner had purchased an older home that had a concrete walkway along the side of her house that was deteriorating, out of level and dangerous. Instead of replacing it with a new concrete path we built a cedar boardwalk with a cedar handrail instead of a fence to keep her small dog in allowing the space to feel more open. This was 6 feet wide and 58 feet long. | Edmonds, WA |
