John Dickey Construction

We hired John to retile two bathrooms and do some general construction work inside the condo, He seemed very sincere and honest. He provided a fair price and could start immediately. He came recommended from the electrician we are using. After six weeks he still hadn't pulled the permits for the job. The demolition of the bathrooms was done haphazzarly and never completed. He had one excuse after another as to why nothing was getting done. The work he did (hot mop one bathroom) had to be completely removed by the next contractor I hired because John used wood to frame the shower seat when he should have used metal studs. John talks a good story but he doesn't have a clue on what he is doing as a contractor. In addition, I paid John for services he didn't even provide yet because I fell for his sincere bull#%$@. I paid him for the hot mop but he didn't pay West Coast Hot Mop. Now the subcontractor is coming after me for payment. Run as fast as you can from this contractor and do not fall for his sincere approach. He has no idea how to manage a project. He may be okay to repair a broken sprinkler but do not trust him with anything you value. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. RUN as fast as you can!!!! I'm haapy to answer any questions regarding this contractor.
