TL;DR: On 09/23/2022, exactly 7 days before we had a scheduled court date for a deposit dispute, the registered agent of Metro Mix created a new LLC, Mile High Concrete Flatwork. On October 20th the Adams County Small Claims Court entered a judgement against Metro Mix for the maximum claim amount of $7,500. As of 11/02/2022 I have not received any money or communication from the company. Before even calling this company, do yourself a favor and take a close look at their Yelp reviews. You can even go to the Colorado business entity search website and search for Metro Mix Exteriors LLC, Metro Mix Concrete Flatwork LLC, and Mile High Concrete Flatwork if you really want to know what this company is all about. Here are some names to look out for: Royce (Supposed owner) Krysta (Actual registered agent of the LLC) Breydan (Estimator) Bob (Related to Krysta) - See K F.'s Yelp review from 4/21/2019. I signed a customer agreement with Metro Mix Concrete Flatwork in May 2022. The job required that walkways and a patio be poured with adequate drainage and a 2" inch clearance below the bottom of our home's sheathing. On the day the job was set to begin their sub-contractor came on site and had an epiphany! "Instead of doing this work per the customer agreement, let's go ahead and remove a single layer of vinyl siding from the entire perimeter of the home and simply pour the concrete 7 inches higher than we originally planned. This will make things so much easier!" Long story short, I declined this proposal, they held my deposit hostage and jerked me around for over a month. I had no choice but to take them to small claims court. They showed up to the court hearing with zero evidence and lied directly to the judge. It didn't take long for the judge to rule that they had breached the contract the first morning that they were on-site for the project. Just don't even bother!
