We removed center load bearing wall to kitchen to open the space between the kitchen and living room. We installed new hardwood on kitchen floors, and refinish existing flooring. We upgraded electrical fixtures add under cabinet lights and can lights in ceiling. We installed new cabinetry, trim, appliances and hood. | Basement Finishing and Remodel | Jan 2013 | The customers wanted to finish their basement to add a family room down stairs, update the bathroom, and add two bedrooms. We framed out the walls that were not already framed, and added insulation. Two egress windows were installed in the bedrooms. We installed drywall and texture, and the customer painted the rooms. In the bathroom, we relocated the toilet, shower and vanity plumbing to make a better layout. We installed an Onyx shower surround with door, a new double vanity, mirror and tiled the floor. The furnace room was open to the bathroom, we enclosed this room per their city's code requirements. We updated the electrical with can lights and added plugs where needed. In the laundry area we created a closet under the stairs for storage, and added a utility sink. In the bedrooms we added closets.
