Sound Repair

Simon Bryant of Sound Repair stole from me. He came to repair my dishwasher. He needed to order a part so I wrote him a check for one hour of labor plus the cost of the part. He cashed the check but never contacted me again to schedule the repair. After ignored phone calls he finally replied to a text. After weeks of stringing me along, he blocked my number. Steer clear of this guy!!! He should not be in business!!!!

Awful experience with Simon Bryant and Sound Repair. I was contacted by Sound Repair to repair my washer. Sound Repair at that time had no reviews on Porch. Simon Bryant missed appointments, with no contact, no explanation. Wanted payment for the part to repair my washing machine up front. When he returned to perform the repair, he failed to connect the drain hose, resulting in a huge flood of water in my home. I had to hire ServPro to dry everything out. They had the dehumidifier running for 3 days. Carpet had to be totally removed. There was over $4,000 in damage. When I put my project on Porch, I was initially contacted by Sound Repair, but it turns out Simon Bryant is doing business as many different companies. So far I’ve uncovered Sound Appliance Repair, Sound Repair, Sound Refrigeration & Appliance Service, and now Appliance Repair Masters, none of which are registered with the Washington State Department of Revenue, Secretary of State, and NONE OF WHICH HAVE INSURANCE. Apparently, he just changes the name on Porch once he amasses too many bad reviews. Check out the reviews for Sound Appliance Repair. Same guy. When I contacted Porch regarding my claim, they asked for a lot of information, including copies of documents, photos, invoices, communications, etc., all of which I provided. Then they said they don’t guarantee the quality of the work. Simon Bryant caused damage while performing work. The “Porch Guarantee” apparently isn’t actually a guarantee. “We’ll make it right” doesn’t mean what you would think. When they state on their website, “All Porch Services pros are background checked and agree to carry the required licensing and insurance applicable to the service and location,” apparently they don’t actually mean that either. Simon Bryant is a bad seed. He has no insurance. He needs to be removed from Porch. They obviously didn’t do a background check on him. Porch is actually providing no more service than acting as a Yellow Pages. I gave Simon a check made payable to Porch, and Simon Bryant wrote his name on the payee line and then endorsed it over to another individual who cashed the check. The fraud department at my bank is now involved. Avoid Simon Bryant and his many companies and save yourself a ton of money. Oh, by the way, Simon actually posted a review/response and gave himself 5 stars on Porch.com.

I requested service on 11/27, the project was completed on 11/28. No issues whatsoever. The quote was accurate and we were pleased with the customer service as well. I will definitely reccommend
