My name is Scott Hardie, I started Hardie Home Improvements in 2011. I was working full time as the lead carpenter for a well respected local company and doing work for a steadily growing customer base on nights and weekends. My wife and I had a baby girl and I needed time for the family and through referrals I was getting plenty of new work so it made sense to go off on my own. I have been working in and learning the ins and outs of the remodeling business for 20 years and have always been told by my employers and customers that I have superior craftsmanship. I am a member of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry), OSHA and Firestone certified as well as EPA certified in lead paint safety practices. - We are a smaller but expert home improvements company that does it all! All size jobs are welcome. Being that we are on the smaller side means that our customers get the very best and most personalized service at an exceptional price. Our overhead is low so we can pass the savings on to our customers. Hardie Home Improvements specializes in providing professional services for all types of improvements or repairs to your home or small business. We can take care of everything from small exterior leaks, roof or plumbing repairs to entire additions and kitchen and bath renovations. We make it a priority to be punctual, return phone calls promptly, respect your home and property as well as keep a tidy job site. I will keep you apprised throughout the job so that there are no surprises at the end. It is just as important to me as it is to you that your project goes as smoothly as possible, I know time is valuable and not to be wasted. - Here is a list of some of the many services provided: Kitchen and Bath remodeling, Additions, Decks, Sun rooms, Plumbing, Electrical, Concrete Repair and Leveling, Tile, Flooring, Drywall, Painting, Windows, Doors, Roofing, Siding, Custom Trim and Built in Shelving units, we also have a complete working cabinet shop where we make custom and odd shaped cabinets and furniture.

I used Hardie Home Improvement to move my laundry room. I cannot say enough good things about Scott and his company. Fairly priced, thorough, and did great work. Scott even came back out when the dryer stopped working - diagnosed a separate issue, then fixed it for no cost. I’m happy to support great business.

Scott added a deck to our home which took 4 months to complete. He measured wrong twice costing us a permit violation and never followed through with a final inspection to make sure all work was completed (it wasn’t).

Scott took a look at the project the same day that I contacted him. He helped me to evaluate the cost of repairs verses replacement. He is very considerate and I look forward to being able to use his company on other in the future.

Hardie contacted me right after I sent my initial inquiry to Porch. We scheduled his site visit for noon on 1/25/17. He called two hours after the agreed upon time and said he was tied up on another job. We rescheduled his visit for noon on 1/27/17. He didn't show up then and has not called. I would not recommend this contractor due to his inability to meet scheduled appointments.
