We used BA Electric to install a new outlet for a new electric car. We are renters with permission from our landlord and Blue Apple came out a few days after the quote to install the outlet. The quote was quite high, even with an offered discount but because of their workmanship guarantee and their good reviews we decided to bite the bullet and pay the higher cost, thinking we were paying for a premium service. A week later, the lights in our master bath go out inexplicably despite the outlet on the same switch still working. Our landlord requests that we have BA come out and check their work to make sure it wasn't a mistake on their end before hiring an electrician to fix a problem he's never had in the house prior to BA's work, so we call BA back and are told that they will put us on the schedule that day between 12-3 but "it may be earlier". 2pm arrives and I call to make sure we're still on the schedule and am told the tech is running late but we'll still have someone that day. 4:45 arrives and I call a third time to ask where our technician is and am rerouted to the technician himself who informs us that we were not on his schedule and to come to us that same day would cost us an "emergency fee" for an "after hours" visit. Since the office had apparently closed for the day I was unable to speak to anyone about wtf had happened to 12-3. The next day arrives, we have MORE lights that have stopped working and are starting to fear we have an electrical situation that will cause an electrical fire, and BA calls to let us know we're on the schedule for 4-6. I ask why we're waiting so long when we had an appointment the prior day, and also why today we're not being told there's an upcharge but the day prior we were. The receptionist had no answer for me and said she'd talk to a technician supervisor and call me back. Two hours later no one had called back so I called them and asked what was going on, I was told the same thing by a different receptionist who assured me that the technician would "eventually" arrive, which was clearly not reassuring as we'd been waiting a day and a half already. I'm told the same, will talk to a tech and call me back. I didn't receive a callback but at this point I've realized there's no point in trying and around 3:30 the technician calls me and lets me know he's 1-1.5 hours away from finishing his job and is that alright with us. Since his company is clearly unable to perform the simplest of tasks such as finding a new technician for us, I say sure, hopefully we'll see you then. It's 5:30 now and according to the technician from about ten minutes ago when I called back, he's "on his way". Hopefully we'll have this issue sorted someday but I would highly discourage paying Blue Apple's premium prices for extremely subpar service and communication, especially with something so potentially dangerous as electrical work. We'll certainly never be using them again.
