Tim restored the casing of an 18th century clock for me. The clock had been nearly destroyed by a clock shop that claimed to be expert at restorations. After that I did not have much hope for the clock that had been in my family for generations. It sat in my basement, in pieces, for nearly fifteen years, Then I met Tim. He took the clock and started work within a few days. Almost a month later he brought the clock back. When he showed me what he had done I was shocked. It was a thing of beauty, a moment in time restored. I could not be happier! And the price was more than fair!

Very pleased with the experience I had with Alexander's. I've had several projects completed. Several Antiques that were rare were gently refinished. He completed the job on time and on budget. It's hard to find someone you can trust with rare pieces. I would not hesitate to recommend Alexanders.

Great job done on time and on budget

We are VERY disappointed in the job that was done. When we first were quoted the price we were told that it would take 3 weeks. Since that was too close to our move date they told us that we would have it in 2. Expecting 2 weeks we were shocked that they wanted to deliver 4 days after they picked it up. Since we were moving we left it shrink wrapped. We saw that there were a few spots that needed to be touched up and had to request touch up paint for after the move. Now that we are in another state, 1200+ miles away, we have unwrapped them. The paint is extremely rough like the paint was applied over light sawdust. When we opened the compartment with doors that was supposed to be painted, all that was there was a thick layer of dust and massive overspray. I could have done better with a can of spray paint. I want to attach more pictures but the site only allows 4, there are many more problems! We paid good money to have this unit refinished and now we are going to have to pay to have it redone by someone else. We are thoroughly disgusted with the job Alexander’s did for us.
