Custom Building and Remodeling was founded by owners Tim & Koleen Short. We are a family business and our indispensable Sub-Contractors are Dawn Hilfiger and Joe Burkholder. We have the BEST Team EVER! We do new construction and remodel the old. Free estimates and references are available upon your request. We do all forms of new construction and remodels from basements to roofs, kitchens to baths, plumbing, residential and commercial electric, as well as flooring, windows, insulation and tiling. We do both residential and commercial projects. We are lead-certified, fully-insured, registered contractors. We can install appliances, cabinets, flooring, bathtubs, showers, vanities, toilets, sinks, doors, windows, decks, stairs, porches, roofs, patios, outside kitchens, ductwork - anything you need installed we can do it! We also build custom cabinets as well as any type of custom project you may need or want. We have built cedar chests, wooden urns for beloved pets who have passed away, wooden valances for windows, dog shelters, jewelry boxes, bunkbeds, dressers, and many more specialty items too numerous to mention. If you can imagine it, we can build it! We have successfully bought and flipped three houses. They were remodeled from top to bottom, providing us with an experience we absolutely enjoyed! Two of the houses were grand old ladies that were so dilapidated and sad that many people urged us to tear them down. We transformed them into the Great Grand Old Ladies they deserved to be! This was such a satisfying experience for us to save a house that once shown in the community back to her original beauty! We are active in our community. Recently there has been a horrifying rash of animal abuse cases that have come to light in our area. As a result, we established a dog shelter program for our county whereby we build proper and legal doghouses for people who cannot afford to buy or are not physically able to build a shelter for their beloved furry critters - 100% FREE OF CHARGE! These shelters are built with treated lumber and shingled roofs. They are attractive as well as sturdy. It was our way of "paying it forward" to our community for all the wonderful people we have met and enjoyed working with throughout our 14 years of service. Give us a call! We do it all!
