I think the customer got the facts mixed up. We were called out to a frozen solid system less than one year old that was supplied by the homeowners uncle. The first red flag. Homeowner supplied Hvac units are typically a sign of bad practices. The install was sloppy and the exhaust from the furnace piped directly into the a/c coil another red flag. Furnace exhaust is acidic and will shorten the life of the coil considerably and will cause ice build up that can damage the coil. Red flag. Moving on to the pressures, the system was so short on refrigerant there was only a 6 degree split(normal 18-20) and the high and low side were low. Subcooling was a 1 with manufacturer required 12 subcooling. These are textbook low refrigerant conditions. We offered two options charge the system or charge with leak test. The customer elected to have the leak test and with the condition of the installation I agreed with his decision. Often bad installs have leaks and his low numbers spoke to a large amount of refrigerant that was missing.. In fact we added an additional 5 pounds of refrigerant to the system when we left the sub cooling was a perfect manufacture 12 his split was 18? The system worked fine for several days and the customer called me back saying he was having the same conditions again I scheduled to come out he declined. Said he had another company come out and look and it was just the TXV valve. What he does not know is the txv can be knocked out of whack by ice and need adjustment days later this happens. I tried several times to rectify to no avail. I stand by this diagnosis and all the actions we took. I was on the job personally not just my tech. Gauges don?t lie he was 5 lbs under simple as that and at the time of service the TXV was functional or we would have seen it in the gauges. Thanks Josh

Hello, Not sure where discrimination came from but I will tell a potential customer if I think it?s a bad fit. This had nothing to do with race! It?s sad that because this man did not like what I said he presumed I must be racist. This client exhibited multiple red flags in about 30 seconds, was pushy and did not listen well. I did tell him we were not a good fit and would again. We endeavor to provide excellent service and communication but we require a willing participant on the other end of the phone. This gentleman just was not hearing what I was telling him and after several attempts I politely(mostly it was frustrating) declined service. My team is trained to funnel difficult customers or situations directly to me so I can attempt to recover and get to a positive outcome but if I can?t I?m willing to move on as needed and this customer somehow came away with it must be because I'm colored, This is just untrue! God sees not black, white, red, and yellow HE sees his children and my wife and I endeavor to see the same. One race called humanity and our job LOVE THEM ALL!!!
