Does your Fireplace need to be FLASHED correctly? | Feb 2016 | We were called in to reflash the chimney properly. The homeowner had just had the job done 6 mos prior and craftmanship was unsightly and caulked with black caulk with no regards to aesthetics. We cleaned up the upper and lower chimneys, scraped all the black caulking prior to installing new step flashing and counterflashing. Its about a 3/4 day job, if done right. | $495 | Versailles, KY
A Lexington KY Townhouse gets an exterior makeover | Oct 2015 | A townhome in lexington needed a bit of a facelift. Trusty to the rescue! We installed a NEW Architectural shingled roof from Certainteed, gutters, downspouts and vented soffit around 3 sides of this end unit. We also wrapped all the existing wood in white trim metal. Now she is ready for another 25 years. | $3k | Lexington, KY
New Gutters Boxes and Downspouts for Lexington classic | Sep 2015 | Due to a metal thief, the original gutter box and downspout were stolen (literally right off the wall...) from behind this Lexington restaurant. Unfortuneatly, they don't make them like that anymore so we were forced to install some new hardware. | $375 | Lexington, KY
New EPDM Rubber Roof Installation and Metal Roof Repair | Sep 2015 | We got a call from an insurance company asking if we could go take a look at a repair and write an estimate. When we arrived we realized this was a no win situation for everyone involved. Due to the improper nature in which everything was previously installed, the roof was a complete mess. The insurance company wanted to repair vs replace but after a few discussions, and some detailed pics, we were able to negotiate with the insurance company to help the policy owner replace the entire roof vs trying to patch fix and hope for the best. The insurance company stepped up and paid the claim even thought it wasn't technically their responsibility. Now they just needed everything installed the right way... Enter Trusty Roofing... Not only did we tear off the existing mess down to the bare wood, we replaced everything bad, and installed new fiberboard across entire roof prior to installing the new EPDM Rubber installation. Once we finished that roof, we helped fix the bowed metal roof next door. We did this by removing the existing metal panels and leveling out ALL the entire subframe prior to reattaching the existing metal panels. We finished up with a Graco sealant over the metal panels to make everything watertight. | $13k | Salyersville, KY
Replaced a piece of metal garage trim metal that had a small encounter with the homeowners car | Jun 2015 | Homeowner had run into the garage backing out and put a hole in the metal trim on the side of the garage. We came in and removed the old piece and after matching up the color of the door and taking dimensions we were able to bend another piece that matches perfectly in just under an hour. | $125 | Lexington, KY
rubber valley install to prevent leaking on a no slope roof | Jun 2015 | Install a new EDPM rubber roof to fix a leak in a flat area of the homeowners roof. Prior to install we had to remove all shingles up the valley down to the OSB and replace all bad wood. Slope was added and a new channel built prior to the new rubber roof being installed in the trouble area Project took us a couple of hours, and we also re roofed a shed in the back to match the house at the same time. We cleaned up and hauled everything away. Homeowner was extremely pleased with the whole project. | $3k | Lexington, KY
Re roofed a 10,000 sq ft home in Lexington | Jun 2015 | We were hired by another general contractor to roof a 10,000 sq ft palatial home in Lexington, KY that was as steep as they come in residential, not to mention rather large. We completed the job in 4 days with no issues. All material had to be thrown in a small disposal area and hand wheel barreled off the property due to the extensive landscaping. Homeowners were beyond excited with the results, and even passed out pizza and popsicles to the crew. Our pictures don't do this house justice. The homeowners repaired due to storm damage to both shingles, metal trim work and gutters. | $27k | Lexington, KY
Dont settle for second best when it come to metal flashing work! | Feb 2016 | Customer called unhappy about a recent installation of trim metal. Metal flashing was located on the front of the house and was wavy to say the least. Not to mention it had several fasteners that just looked unsightly to people driving by. We pulled the old flashing carefully from behind the existing siding and replaced with a nice new straight piece of metal. Check out the finished product. | $175 | Versailles, KY
Hole in the roof | Oct 2015 | When water is not allowed to drain properly off a roof it can back up and pool in places that will eventually find its way into your home. This homeowner had rotten wood underneath shingles at the bottom of this valley due to that happening over the last few years. We first removed shingles, replaced all the rotten wood, and then put down a layer of ice and water shield before coving with another layer of Rhino underlayment before installing new shingles. To combat that improper water flow once it hit the gutters we installed a new downspout in the troubled area which should allow water to flow to the ground and away from the house. Homeowner was also advised that the entire roof was not vented properly, and even though the shingles were only 5 years old, all the wood underneath was already starting to buckle and form waves in the roof line. | $600 | Prestonsburg, KY |
