DERBY TILE CO

AWFUL - DO NOT HIRE Unprofessional We had an endless amount of problems with him. We hired Derby to do the tile in our kitchen, breakfast nook, laundry room and 2 and a half baths, put the baseboards back on and to get a plumber to install the toilets. He told us he could do the job in 5 days and he took 15 and never actually finished the job. He was ALWAYS late (once he told us to be at the house at 9 and he was not there until 2), he often did not show up until the middle of the afternoon. When he did decide to show up to work he would quickly be back out of the door to "go up the road to Lowe's" yet would be gone for an hour or two at a time. He can rarely be communicated with because he does not call you and will not answer or return calls. Him and his crew left food and trash in our new home, which we had to clean up. They used many of our tools without telling us making it nearly impossible to do the work we were trying to do. They used up a bit of our mud we bought to repair a wall and even ate some of our food that was on the kitchen counter. When Derby claimed that he was finished the baseboards were terrible (we are having to hire another person to redo them) and the carpet was still up. He was supposed to return the next day to finish and fix his mistakes and of course he never showed. Derby was disrespectful with our time and our money. If you want someone to do a half-ass job then this is your guy. If you care about your home and want to be treated with respect then go elsewhere!
