Hello Sandra, I am not sure why you have posted this negative review months after the payment dispute was resolved in our favor. In response: We had an employee there to do the tile job, however the reason he left is due to overhearing you (Sandra) on the phone telling several people that you were not going to pay us the final balance for this project due to previous delays. (Yes, we admit that we had a schedule conflict arise, however we were in communication via email and phone throughout the process.) That being said our employee packed up and left afraid that he, nor our company would not be getting paid for the completed work. Also, what made us skeptical was that when our office manager asked you for half down ($137.50) on additional material needed to move forward due to the change order on the project (which Sandra was made aware of) you said you were not going to pay us any more money whatsoever. This half down payment required was not on the original Invoice #1009, but was 100% required in order to move forward. We informed you when starting this project that we would not know until removing the tile if there was going to be more needed to complete the project, in terms of backer board to attach the tile to. Furthermore, that being said once we had removed the old existing tile we established that the previous contractor had used drywall to attach the tile to, which is incorrect. We also agreed to fulfill your request for a discount on the additional materials needed, which was not our responsibility but were willing to work with you to help with cost on your part. We ended up telling you we would actually discount the total invoice by 5% for the inconvenience of rescheduling. When our office manager told you that is was 5% you seemed shocked as if that wasn?t enough... Aside from everything just listed, the countertop that we invoiced to grind was supposed to be only 1/4" thick, however it ended up being 1 full inch on both sides, which added cost as well that we did not charge upfront. We are disappointed that we could not continue to finish the project, as we had planned on doing Friday, April 1st. This has already come to a conclusion via payment dispute between our credit card processing company and your credit card company, it was agreed in our favor. Once again, we apologize that it did not work out. We feel this negative review is defamation of character and is unnecessary as we were willing to complete the project when we were on site to do so.
