*RACIAL DISCRIMINATION* I reached out to Mike’s Appliance Services for a $76 service call on our refrigerator due to the fridge side not getting cold. He came out and quoted over $300 to fix it. I told him I needed to talk it over with my wife and will let him know later in the day. He then became agitated and handed me a bill for $116. I questioned the $116 bill, as the service fee originally agreed to was $76. He said the extra $40 was for labor. I told him I was would pay the previously agreed upon $76, but since the $40 labor fee had not been mentioned, I would not pay $116. He became very aggressive, and said “YOU PEOPLE always give me trouble.” I asked what he meant by “you people,” specifically questioning if he was referring to the fact that I am a BLACK MAN. He exclaimed, “YES!” He called me a “punk kid” and pushed my shoulder against the wall. He was getting loud and had refused to leave my home. My four young daughters and my mother-in-law witnessed the abusive and toxic exchange along with the prejudiced remarks. Mike’s Appliance Services is A BIGOT AND RACIST! We had to call the Police to solve this matter. This is so disappointing and I am appalled by the behavior this so-called man displayed especially in front of my children!
