Mr HO Lawn Service

A+++ for communication, timeliness, and cleanup. Mr. Ho came by for a free estimate, gave me a date about 5-6 weeks out, showed up on that day, worked efficiently, and cleaned up like you wouldn't believe. Maybe a little pricey, but I am not familiar with landscaping rates so what do i know. I will definitely have him back for further work!

We hired him to install a sprinkler system and sod a small area in our back yard. Prior to beginning the work I asked him to repair a leak in the water main going to the existing sprinkler system in our front yard. After making the repair it still leaked. I asked him to return and fix again. Once he finally fixed it, we asked for our deposit back for the back yard because we felt uneasy about having him continue work on our back yard if he could not even repair the main water line correctly. He refused to return our deposit. ($500) So we were stuck. We went ahead and had him began the sod and sprinkler system in our back yard. (against our better judgement) The job was completed and looks good. However, we found out later from another landscaper we hired to finish the rest of our yard that on of the water lines Mr. Ho installed had a pretty bad leak that caused a lot of flooding to the neighbors yard. The new landscaper fixed Mr Ho's shoddy work as a courtesy. Also the sprinkler heads Mr. Ho used were not covering the grass area efficiently and were spraying our fence and sidewalk instead of the grass. Our neighbors were being affected by this as well. My wife called Mr. Ho to come and adjust or install new sprinkler heads that were appropriate to the area in question. When Mr. Ho showed up, he claimed that he could not see that the sprinklers were hitting the fence or sidewalk. I believed he actually decreased the water pressure of our main line while testing it. I was so disgusted with him that I just told him to leave. We really regret using Mr. Ho as a landscaper. If we just hired the second landscaper to complete all the work, we would have gotten so much more for our money. There was no value or savings in using Mr. Ho's service. I do not recommend using him.

I hired Mr. Ho to essentially Xeriscape our small backyard and to place flagstone walk around our home. Their bid was the best of all we received and he and his workers arrived on time and did an excellent job of removing all the grass, recovering the land with weed barrier and replacing the lawn with crushed stone. The walkway was done properly and has stood up well.

Although Mr Ho and his family are diligent workers, they leave a lot to be desired. They were hired to down-size my lawn area and landscape which included work on the existing sprinkler system. They did not show up the first time and did not call . They did come a month later. The lawn area and rock areas were nice but the sprinkler system was a disaster. He forgot to cap several heads and did not move other sprinkler heads as agreed. When confronted, he pretends not to understand. Both of us know better. Whenever he says he will call back, he doesn't. He is over-priced since he does not do everything as contracted. Landscaping and sprinklers are not his best talents.
