I would strongly advise against hiring Elephant Home Remodeling LLC (EHR) to do any renovation work. My husband and I hired Paul to completely remodel two bathrooms in our home, in an estimated time frame of 3 weeks (quoted in our contract), noting that we agreed that reasonable delays may be expected as long as they were manageable and would not impede the work to continue. On top of the project already beginning a month later than our scheduled start date, it surpassed the estimated time frame by 4 months – caused by delays that were not weather, supplies or accessibility related. And yet after all this time, we still only have the first bathroom half done. Our frustration and aggravation with the continuous delays and lack of communication has led us to the decision to not continue to do business with EHR. Unfortunately, we are in a loss position as we have paid in more than half of the total quoted price for one incomplete bathroom with a blemished floor. This company conducts its business in a very disorganized, unprofessional, and dishonest fashion. Paul was NEVER on time, and it became more of the rule rather than the exception for him not to show up at all. Furthermore, we rarely were given notice when he would not be coming by – we almost always had to reach out first (which would never be earlier than a 10am text, and has even been after 12 noon a few times). There were several instances in which he would show up in the afternoon and work for an hour or two and then have to leave because it was too late or there was not enough time to continue onto the next task. On separate occasions, we voiced our concerns and unhappiness with the delays and the lack of communication and were met with a list of never-ending excuses, fabricated stories, and empty promises that the “mis”communication would be corrected. Paul also tried to assert that he did us a favor by doing electrical work that would have cost us $2,500 if we hired a licensed electrician. Aside from the doubtfulness of the cost, all that really means is that he was actually not technically allowed to do the work, much less charge for it. Additionally, he did not provide any information regarding being licensed to do electrical and plumbing work. Finally, to top it off, he insisted that we were the only job he was currently working on, which is extremely hard to believe. After reaching the halfway point on our first bathroom, Paul left it unattended and unworked on for a month, clearly displaying no intentions of moving forward towards completion. Because of this repeated pattern of complete inefficiency and unreliability, we decided to finally cut ties. We are still in the process of ending our engagement with EHR, but it is taking literal days between Paul’s responses. Quite frankly, I would not be surprised if he stops responding completely, seeing that he came out on top with our money. If you are considering hiring EHR, I beg you to seriously reconsider.

even this one star is not good for them. Porch.com please don’t encourage this kid of cheaters(elephant home remodeling), the owners sam and paul, the will commit so many things in the contract and will not finish in time , I have hired them in May and committed to start working on 10th June and complete in 5 days, now 21st July they left the work in the middle and didn’t pick the calls, one In a while they pick he call and say they will finish the job and give reason, my recommendation don’t hire them, my home still half finished.
