Homestar Builders Inc.

We used Homestar to install a solar system in our house of Mar Vista. Total disaster. It took nearly 2 years to be fully operational. We have a duplex and to this day one of our system is barely producing any electricity. Our Nem account with DWP on this system is basically at zero. Their installation team is incompetent or worse. They even hired an "electrician" at the street corner of Jefferson at Home Depot. I am not kidding. I have a thick file of comments by DWP inspectors who are shaking their head in disbelief. I stroke a deal in view of their mismanagement with their then-manager. When he left they negate our deal and charged me the $16,000.00 which had been waved by the guy. Now in order to proceed with my claim. I have asked for a statement of account for the past 4 month. Their accountant Mrs E.,I will not name her but maybe I should, has been giving me the run-around and I am still waiting for a closing statement. In short a nightmare and a company I totally advise any potential customer to avoid. I have only scratched the surface of my problems with Home Star in this review. Stay away please. There is reputable and decent folks out there. They are not at Home Star builders.
