Located in Louisville, Colorado, KGA Studio Architects, PC (formerly Knudson Gloss Architects) was founded in 1977. KGA is a nationally recognized architectural studio specializing in residential design. Our primary service area includes the Colorado Front Range, although we have projects across the country. KGA is comprised of two design studios, one specializing in custom homes while the other studio focuses on production housing. The principals, associates and staff of KGA pride themselves on their diverse areas of expertise and backgrounds. Colorado Contemporary Family Home | Sep 2014 | Having lived in many cities, this young family was excited to be returning to Denver and re-establishing hometown roots. They requested a home which provides comfortable, everyday living, accommodation of large extended family gatherings, and hosting out of town guests. They imagined a home that was a retreat from a demanding schedule of business demands and associated travel. A tight site provided challenges resulting in a lower level “display-garage” under the master wing and a lower level theatre under the at-grade garage. The home, with a Colorado contemporary exterior, has an open main floor plan organized along a circulation gallery providing rooms that can be used in quiet living or flow together for large gatherings. The secluded main floor master features a terrace with views of the mountains, morning bar, retreat and extensive wardrobe spaces. The walk-out lower level includes a wet-bar, home theater, family room and a guest wing, while the backyard is a playground with a swimming pool, hot tub, and other amenities. | Greenwood Village, CO | ||
Classic Revival Remodel | Jul 2012 | The original house was right sized and situated on one of the area’s most desirable drives adjacent to Cherry Hills Golf Course. The new owners set out to resurrect the home from several previous remodels while creating a home befitting its address. An upper level addition, an outdoor pool, and an indoor pool were all removed to make way for the remodel. The outdoor pool was replaced with an entertainment patio while the indoor pool was replaced with two new guest suites taken from the upper level. The remodeled upper level was repurposed into an intimate reading retreat. The main level Master Suite was improved with vaulted ceilings and the original chopped up master bath was replaced with deserved luxury.
