I must admit that I am extremely disappointed with Saw Creek. This review is simply to inform other potential clients of the type of service I received from Saw Creek. Saw Creek came highly recommended from a trusted family member. Prior to even giving us their contact information, this family member reached out to Saw Creek with information of our project's scope and our location in Atlanta - a bit further than Saw Creek's typical client. They agreed to entertain the call. After an initial conversation, I sent him pictures, measurements, etc. to see if the scope was something that would be business-worthy for this company and to determine a budget range that would meet both of our needs. Over a 6-week period, I found that I was having to follow up on my responses to Saw Creek's emails - sending two to every one email that they sent us. However, we were willing to work through communication obstacles to have high quality execution of our project. We agreed on a price range with Saw Creek which was well within their original budget proposal, and we agreed to go up to 10% above their stated base line. For the scope of the project, this price tag is on the upper end of a bell curve of cabinet pricing. After 2 weeks, without a response to one of my emails, I circled back. The response I received back from Saw Creek indicated that they would not move forward with the project citing a "business decision". I, too, am a business man. In business, you have many decisions to make - profit decisions and service decisions. In my mind, if this was a profit decision, this should have surfaced weeks before in the negotiation - prior to our agreement to a budget range. In fact, we would probably have had an opportunity to agree upon different pricing. Alternatively, we could have spent the last month looking for another vendor. We feel like they simply strung us along for 1.5 months. In addition to poor communication standards, if you choose this company, I think that you can expect them to choose profit over service. I have no confidence that they will actually complete the project regardless of the premium pricing. They let us down as well as a strong advocate who directly recommended them to us. I am certain that this company has a great product offering; however, choose with care. As you engage, it may be unclear when or if the work will be complete regardless of how far down the road you feel like you are in the development of your project.
