  | White Kitchen - Blue Accents | Jul 2014 | “I told myself I’d never have a real wood floor or marble countertops” states the homeowner. Not able to resist the allure of natural elements, she how has both. This project was a gut renovation with architect, Ronald Zakary of Zakary Hagemann Associates and contractor, Tom Flanagan of West Park Builders. The original kitchen had a smaller island with no seating and few cabinets for storage. Now, this transitional space is enjoyed by the family of 5, with three teenaged children. The center island has been enlarged and now measures 100"x40", there is greater storage, including cabinetry in the adjoining mud room.
