BEWARE. Hired to remodel a shower with frameless glass and new tile. What I got was: Water that reaches the subfloor in five different spots due to holes in grouting, an uneven floor of the shower so water pools against the walls and doesn't reach the drain, no hot water, and a glass door that rests on the threshold and no longer opens due to improper installation. Between the glass manufacturer and other contractors, I've been informed that basic mandatory construction steps were skipped. The door is supposed to be mounted to tile, it is not, which is why it is sagging. Meaning we have drywall mudding INSIDE the enclosure of our shower. Sherwin Williams confirmed that their paint is not meant to hold up to that much moisture. Mold is likely. Because of all the gaps in the tile work, mold is also likely in the floor. The flooring is uneven because you're supposed to put a concrete foundation in. The fact that this wasn't done has led other contractors to surmise deeper problems in the construction that can't be seen. Tile is VERY uneven, glass is not frameless as contract called for, one piece of glass has tracks on three sides of it, edges of glass appear shattered, door glass doesn't line up with any other glass, large and uneven gap between door and walls that lets water flow through. When I brought up just the smallest of these issues he blamed me, refused to fix any of it, and stormed out. I have an unusable shower. I literally paid him to lower the value of my home. AVOID. He doesn't seem to know what he's doing, his own employee Jack mocked his inexperience, and he refused to take any personal responsibility. I allowed him to make his own schedule every day. He would decide to work different times of the day. So I shifted my schedule around to accommodate this. 3 times he didn't show up at all, and 6 times he was over an hour late. Not once did he let me know he wasn't coming or going to be late. I always had to track him down. Like a teenager. I'm left with an embarrassing shower that I can't even use. Took my money and ran. He lied about being a licensed contractor and refused to provide receipts for the glass, preventing my new, actually licensed, contractor from ordering new hardware. Having to sue him to recover costs of labor and materials.
