BORIS D.
Pdp Remodeling LLC completed our kitchen remodel project. It can be done: on schedule, within the budget and with an excellent craftsman quality! We had 8ft x 8ft outdated kitchen. Now our family has one modern, functional and pleasant kitchen. If you are interested about my experience with this kitchen remodel and read feedback on Pdp Remodeling’s work then please find the details below. It took me about almost 2 months to plan, design and research, shop and stock up with almost everything I think I would need for the kitchen remodel (new cabinets, new appliances, new sink and sink faucet, countertop, tiles, under-cabinet lighting, other materials and parts, etc.) I think that I was well prepared on the timeline, logistics for all deliveries, finding storage (at some point the garage was full with the new appliances and for a few days the living room was packed with the new pre-assembled cabinets). Sometime in the middle of the preparation phase I started a search for a general contractor to execute and complete the remodel. Below is my opportunity to share my thoughts on the execution stage, the actual remodeling done by Pdp Remodeling LLC. I interviewed Daniel, the owner of Pdp Remodeling and I gave him an overview of my plan, the design and layout; the current state of the project and my readiness to move to the execution stage in next mount or so. During this initial discussion I was impressed by Daniel’s attention to the details, his confidence and willingness that his company could complete the project for us on time by delivering excellent - to be proud of - results. Pdp submitted a bid promptly. Compared to the other bids I received, Daniel’s bid was in-line with my expectations for the timeline and closer to projected budget (a little above my initial estimate). To put this in perspective, I wanted our family of three to live without an operational kitchen for less than 10 days or so. The remodeling would include [but not limited to] removing the old kitchen cabinets; soffit/drywall rebuild, new wall priming and texture; install new factory pre-assembled kitchen cabinets; install new appliances; new countertop; floor tiling; new backsplash; add local/under cabinet low-voltage lighting, sink and dishwasher plumbing and painting. On a second meeting with Daniel we reviewed his bid, we made and agreed on some small adjustments to it. Then we found a timeslot in Pdp’s schedule that would work for our family too. Pdp Remodeling won the project. Day 1: The old kitchen was gone! No cabinets, no sink, no dishwasher, a lot of free space. Day 9: The new kitchen is shiny, beautiful, operational! The only issue left for us is to familiarize with the new appliances, their controls and functions and enjoy the end result. Daniel, John and couple of other employees contributed to successfully complete our kitchen project on time. I had a daily sync-ups with Daniel and John to cover: a quick inspection of the work done so far; what is the planned work for the given day; any needs for materials for the upcoming work, etc. While almost everything was in-stock at home, there were still few runs for small things to the nearest home-improvements and hardware stores. John and Daniel possess the knowledge, the expertise and the skills to complete all these individual tasks and jobs needed to complete such a remodel: some of which are very dirty, always perform precise measures and cuts, alignments, mountings, touch-ups, etc. With their experience they were able to foresee couple of issues I have not noticed nor I thought about during my initial planning; furthermore, promptly they discussed and proposed solutions to address these issues. Daniel and John optimally used their time while working towards completing the project and in few cases they saved me some materials (I had provisioned 30% more decorative panels for the wall cabinets and John managed to make the right and exact cuts by saving me the 30% - a whole extra panel). It was easy to work with them, the daily communication and control left no surprises and the completion time was within the original estimate. Overall, I am very happy that Pdp Remodeling LLC completed our kitchen remodel. I observed that Daniel and John were pleased of the end results too. I highly recommend the service and the quality delivered.
