Hugo Noel construction is a great company good customer service and great skills. I’ve hired these guys to build a deck for me and it was done in less than week. Safety is their priority I’d definitely hire them again

This company ( which really consists of one person Ellie Noel) is frankly dangerous and should be out of business. He cuts corners at every possible oppurtunity and after working for 4 months on a project Ellie estimated would take one month, He has now built a structure that is unsafe and cannot pass code inspection (See inspection report below). For example, I provided him with a certified engineering plan that called for 8x8 posts. They instead used 6x6 posts which are now starting to buckle under the weight of the roof. His team left a mess in my yard that he then refused to clean up. (photos attached) After paying thousands I now have to pay a real contractor to fix everything that was done. Just so no-one thinks this is a biased review to settle a score, I have actually attached the inspectors comments below. Please save yourself time and energy and DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Framing Inspection Report: Defect Codes: A7/139/154/170/A8 DefectNotes: Inspector Notes: The plans are not uploaded to the permit. Cannot see the plans that are on site.All copies shall be uploaded to the permit. Improper connections at post to header connections.Cannot alter factory connectors.Missing nails in connections at post to header.Missing mechanical attachment at post to header connections.Missing bolts at ledger against the house throughout the length of ledger.Cannot bolt to fireplace or brick veneer without proper engineering.Wrong size floor joist up against the house(missing full bearing on that floor joist)No support under post on gable bearing wall.Cannot use existing brick wall under deck for support.Cannot bolt ledger to brick for the stair attachment.Missing footing inspection on seven additional footings under stairs and behind stairs.
