Carolina Home Renovation

I have attached pictures. Layne requested 10% up front plus $500 for materials to add a bathroom to my house. He then requested $300 more for material. He stated the remaining balance would be paid to him when the bathroom is FINISHED. We agreed that I would paint and put trim in the bathroom but everything else would be finished. Well, last Friday Layne begged for me to pay him the remaining balance even though the bathroom wasn't finished. He gave me a sob story of how he has to pay mortgage ect.. I gave in with the understanding he would finish up on Monday. Well as you can see by the pictures he did not finish the bathroom. He also decided to leave me a lovely txt at 2:40am that I can go F*** myself and he is not going to finish the job. Throughout him building this bathroom for me he was NEVER on time and felt the need to drink on the job also. Every day he'd say he would be there at 9am or 10am and 11-12 he would randomly show up. He is unprofessional and his work clearly isn't good quality. I was deceived by him and you will be too. Be careful before you hire him for a job. I personally will never use him again and will be telling everyone about how he runs his business. Karma always finds it way back to these type of people.
