Just all around awful. From dealing with them on the initial siding project, all the way through to a couple years later and seeing the poor quality of work they performed falling apart. Siding's supposed to last decades, not two years? Reading the other reviews here it's clear that the attitude, aptitude and approach of this business is sub-par. We've had the "pleasure" of working directly with the owner Josh who goes out of his way to avoid communication and taking ownership for the poor work he and his business output. Wish I had read these reviews before working with them and saved ourselves tens of thousands of dollars. GO WITH ANYONE ELSE you wont regret it the way we're regretting having selected Legacy now.

Legacy Exteriors was hired to do the roof and gutters on our house in late April/early May as part of an offer to buy the house. They were hired by the seller, we were the buyers. I always wondered if the crew forgot to finish up but as it turns out, Legacy Exteriors is just sloppy. I didn't necessarily mind cleaning up the handful of nails and gutter screws or the hand tool that was left in the gutter (and is actually still up there). I wasn’t happy about the 7 or 8 spots on the house where the fiberboard siding was broken where they did the flashing (one large 8” piece was actually caulked back into place, poorly) but I'm less concerned about those as I don't have to see them every time I look out a window. No, what they did to the eves outside the windows is what really bothers me. Our house has a substantial roof overhang that extends far into the view out the 2nd floor windows. The Legacy crew broke a ton of the trim below the roof when they drove nails and screws into it leaving 1-2’ gaps showing the underlying (overlying?) plywood (in addition to the still remaining nails/screws) visible right outside the windows in at least seven different places. Granted, this trim has seen some years and didn’t put up much of a fight but then the same thing happened on the back side of the house above the deck and they had at least bothered to cover that up with flashing. Not great, but certainly passable. At the time, all of these relatively minor things made me think it was an honest mistake, and hey, the roof doesn’t leak. However, now that winter is coming and we’re spending more time inside, it means more time looking at the broken trim. This is what finally spurred me to follow up with Legacy Exteriors and see what the deal was and if they would at least fix the eaves visible from the windows. Their answer? Not our problem. To be more precise, I was told they didn’t do it, it was already like that. Josh says they took pictures of the before. Apparently I’m welcome to see them. At their office. Somewhere in a stack of files. They’re printed on paper. But here’s the thing, I also have pictures. In fact, they are widely available on the MLS system since this whole project happened as a condition of buying the house. When I told Josh I was literally looking at the pictures of their screws going from their gutter right through a big piece of trim at the exact place it split, Josh replied “well, we walked around the house and the owner signed off on everything. If you want, we can come look at it. There would be a charge for it.” And if you thought this might be covered by the craftsmanship warranty, nope. And even if the damage was covered, it turns out that warranty is only transferable if you pay extra, so still nope. Long story short, they can nail down a shingle but apparently can’t be bothered to follow through on any of the details and they certainly don’t seem to stand behind the work they did do. It seems fair to say they’re about on par with a handy uncle and a few guys from craigslist.
