If zero stars were an option, it would be too many. Get It Painted contracted to paint the exterior and interior of our home, with a promise to have it all completed within a six week period. "No problem" was their response on multiple occasions before starting the job. Not only did they not try to meet their delivery commitment, and ended up taking more than 12 weeks to complete, but when it became clear to them that they overestimated the job and the efficiency of their paint crew, with the work only half completed they threatened to walk off the job entirely unless we paid the balance based on time-and-material, resulting in nearly twice the original contracted fixed-fee price. We had no choice but to comply since they knew this put us in an impossible position due to our deadline and the unavailability of alternative paint contractors at the height of the construction season. This behavior is called extortion. If extortion were not enough, in addition to the above, overall paint prep, quality and cleanup was very poor. On more than one occasion the lack of proper masking resulted in paint overspray and drips ruining areas of finished stained mahogany and cedar fencing. They left it to us to cleanup overspray on our dark hardwood floors (unless we paid more of course), and to this day, they have not cleaned up all of their overspray mess (again, without expecting more payment and only with more delay). We also more recently discovered that the left over exterior trim paint they provided for touchup was actually interior paint, causing us to wonder how much of the exterior trim was painted with the wrong kind of paint. Incredible! We warn anyone considering this company to be very careful of the risks due to the owner's high lack of integrity.
